    June 2012 Challenge

    Save Changes Cancel
Here's what I came up with for June:

    1. Read a book by Kresley Cole
    2. Read a book published in 2011
    3. Read a book that has the word "Game" in the title
    4. Read the fourth book in a series
    5. Read a book that has a character named Erin (it could be the hero, heroine, secondary character, a non-important passing character, etc.)

I have been searching for Erins and this is what I've come up with so far (other than some obscure old(er) Harlequin/Silhouettes)

    Moonlight Road by Robyn Carr
Master of the Night by Angela Knight
    Eternal Hunter by Cynthia Eden
    Navy Brat by Debbie Macomber
The Great Scot by Donna Kauffman
    The Hunted by Rachel Lee
    Irish Rose by Nora Roberts
The Third Secret by Tara Taylor Quinn
Touch a Dark Wolf by Jennifer St. Giles
    Breakaway by Dierdre Martin
    Fair Haven by JoAnn Ross
A Twist of Fate by Lisa Jackson
The Lady and the Lion by Kay Hooper (Loveswept but not sure if it was reissued so I included it)
    Whiplash by Catherine Coulter
    Trust by Janet Daily
    Forbidden Flame by Luanne Walden
Full Time Father by Susan Mallery (this is a reissue of an early category romance)
The Diamond Tiger by Ann Maxwell (aka Elizabeth Lowell)
The Tender Stranger by Carolyn Davidson
    Living Single by Holly Chamberlin
White Wolf by Lyndsay McKenna (reissue of a Silhouette)

I'm supposing that the male version of Erin being Aaron would be fine too right? If so.....

Paradise & More by Shirl Henke
The Secret Sisters by Ann Maxwell (also reissued under her Elizabeth Lowell name)
    Wanton Angel by Elizabeth Chadwick
Storm of Shadows by Christina Dodd
    Veiled Threats by Deborah Donnelly
    The Fulfillment by LaVyrle Spencer
    Forever, Ashley by Lori Copeland
    Haven by Carolyn Davidson
    High Stakes by Justine Dare
Kill Me Again by Maggie Shayne

Unfortunately, I'm only going to be able to do 2 of these. However, maybe in one way, that's a good thing. Once I've finished those 2, I'm going to go back and finish the ones for May that I didn't make it to. I'm starting off the month with A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole.

I read The Kissing Game by Kasey Michaels a few years ago. It was adorable! I was alternately laughing and going "Awwwww!"

Suggestions for Game....Christine Feehan's Ghostwalker series all have Game in the title and I've enjoyed many of them.

I had actually thought to skip this one because, although I have two of this series (books 5 & 6, Deadly Game and Predatory Game) and they are the only books I own with the word game in the title, I haven't yet started this series and I'm not sure if they would be easy to follow without reading the first four. Have you read either of these? Can they be read as a stand-alone?

I think she does an ok job of explaining but there is quite a bit of world building that went on in the first two that makes the rest of them make more sense I think. I would read them in order if you could.

I love this series! It's actually why I came up with this challenge. :) Anyway, Sheri, it's totally worth going back and reading from the beginning. Something big happens to the plot in those books that wouldn't be as major to you if you haven't read the first books yet. So yes, try and read them in order.

Thanks. I think I'll stick with my original plan to skip this one, and I'll wait until I can get the first one to start the Ghostwalker series.

I haven't had a lot of time to read lately, but here's what I'm hoping to read for June's challenges:

    1. Dark Desires After Dusk by Kresley Cole
    2. Hidden Away by Maya Banks
    3. Street Game by Christine Feehan
    4. Everyday Average Jones by Suzanne Brockmann
    5. Laid Bare by Lauren Dane
