Paging All Bookworms! Reading Challenge

This group is for enthusiastic people seeking a different type of reading challenge. Rather than tallying how many books you read, keep track of what you read and how many pages are in each book you finish. It's easy-start a thread with your name in the title (and make sure to bookmark that thread for later) and then as you finish a book, jot...more »

I watched a lot of Olympic coverage, and I got a lot of my hair hacked off. It looks and feels so much better!

I had a relaxing, but productive weekend. We put down a new floor in the porch and replaced the door. I say we lightly, since my hubbie did most of the work - but I did help. Everything looks great, and I am very happy with it. There was old carpeting there before which always looked dirty. This new flooring is so easy to clean.
I also watched the Olympics - beach volleyball, diving, rowing, track events (mens 100m final), field events, swimming, and lots more. I enjoyed it all.

Saturday we had the library book sale and that was fun--I brought home $26 worth of books--I should have made a list. I got 10 paperbacks, 7 hardbacks and 7 audio CD's. I had a big bag with me and decided when I couldn't handle it on my shoulder anymore it was time to go home. :) Then in the afternoon I went to the planetarium and saw a lazer light show featuring Beatles' music. Late in the day, my husband's 88 year old grandma fell trying to go to Bingo--she had a huge bruise on her head and broke both the bones in her right wrist. Sunday, my husband and I went to see the new Total Recall and we liked much more than the critics said we would!! Then we picked up potato salad and spicy chicken and went to see Grandma. I'm telling you--she's tough--if it wasn't for the bruising and the sling you wouldn't know she'd had a problem. We're still waiting to see if she will need surgery to pin it.
