Paging All Bookworms! Reading Challenge

This group is for enthusiastic people seeking a different type of reading challenge. Rather than tallying how many books you read, keep track of what you read and how many pages are in each book you finish. Finished Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas. It's definitely not the genre I normally read, but it was a good book. It made me laugh, made me mad and made me cry. The crying part is why I don't read books like this. I had the ending figured out, but the author threw in a twist that I wasn't expecting and didn't quite like. I recommend it to anyone who likes a good love story and doesn't mind crying.

Finished Fifty Shades Darker today. I liked this one better than book 1. You learned more about Christian Grey and there was more of a story line, IMO. Looking forward to starting book 3, but it will have to wait. Need to finish Red Hood's Revenge and have added Huntress Moon to my "now reading" list.

I'm usually really good at only buying books when I have nothing new left to read in the house, and I have taught myself to only buy a couple books at a time.
I have more than a couple of books sitting on my shelf that need to be read right now - went to Costco and then to Chapters to find a specific book - didn't find it, but bought 5 other books instead. So . . . I'm reading those (for sure) this month.

The Taker by Alma Katsu - finished
The Tenderness of Wolves by Stef Penney - finished
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern - finished
Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen - finished
Private by James Patterson - finished
Then Came You by Jennifer Weiner - finished

I got my first audio book ever - from the library - this month too
    I'll be listening to

Really? Because A Storm Of Swords I think is longer than ADWD. Wasn't it split in two books?

What did you think of AFFC? I loved it and everyone seemed to think it was the book most lacking for some reason.

I really liked AFFC, too. I just wish he would have at least mentioned some of the other main players. The way I understood the afterword in AFFC he split one story into two in AFFC and ADWD. He said he thought it would be too confusing to write a little bit about each character so he decided to include part of them in the first book and the rest of them in the second. I thought that was odd since the entire series had been written with a little here and a little there about each character's story.

Yeah, I remember feeling like that because I missed Jon and Bran but once you start ADWD, it makes sense. I don't see how he could include so many characters in one book. But later in ADWD time evens out and some characters from AFFC appear later in the book.

I read "Dr. Death" by Jonathon Kellerman. Good mystery but too descriptive for me. It wasn't as fast paced as James Patterson's book. I'm currently reading "RV There Yet?" by Diann Hunt. Isn't that a clever title? I'm enjoying the book so far.
