Edgar Allan Poe Readers

Well...let me just say this once, this group is strictly only for discussions about Poe and his works, and there can also be other scary topics to talk about. I would also like to hear some of your scary stories, be sure to introduce yourself, and tell me your favourite Poe story.

Mine is the Cask of Amontillado, and the Black Cat....more »

What was the first Poe story that you have ever read? Mine was the Tell Tale Heart. I like it a lot, it got me hooked.

Mine was Cask of Amontillado (did I spell that right?) It was amazing and reminded me of a show I watched. I haven't read very much of his work, put I do plan on it.

Tell-Tale Heart. I had to read a classic for school, and I liked his poems, so I went to Edgar, and Tell Tale Heart was my first story! My first poem, however, was Annabell Lee

Then recently I read Tell Tale Heart with my son who had to read it for his 8th grade class, and I thought it was great!

One friend of mine made me read "The Black Cat" and listen James Earl Jones reading "The Raven". However, listening to Matthew Gray Gubler reading "Annabel Lee" hooked me on Poe.
