Compulsive Book Hoarders

It's simple, if you have 1000+ books in your basement, living room or a room designated as a library and you find that a 'good time' happens to be at a bookstore, then you belong in this group. Meet others who have the same problem of having 'too many books to read.' If there's such a thing.

Dose anyone know of any other novels that was written by Stephen Kings or any other author that has a plot similar to Saleem's lot ??? Meaning, everyone in the city gets infected (becomes Vampires, Zombies, Monsters and etc.) but few struggle to survive and etc...

There's a lot, but so much so like SL as to be mistaken as it's sequel? No, probably not. A few I like to recommend with similar plots are:
    1. The Walking Dead
    2. The Stand [this one is also by Stephen King, however it's not really about a handful of survivors battling monster, more like a society trying to adjust to the fact that monsters now exist]
    3. The Exorcist [I only recommend this one because the tone of the book reminds me so much of SK that I almost always think he's the one who wrote it]

That's funny you should say that about The Exorcist; Stephen King has no respect for Wm Peter Blatty at all.

The gold standard for me would be Matheson's Invasion Of The Body Snatchers. Come to think of it, his I Am Legend is also very similar.

Warm Bodies by Issas Marion- the most usual zombie book I've ever read. It is written from the zombies POV. I loved it, It's not really like Stephen King but it does have the zombie infection thing, struggle to survive issues.

I'm not a fan of the zombie-genre but this sounds really interesting. I love books written from a different POV

There's 'Cell' by Steven King. It's about a phone call that turns the recipients into flesh-eating zombies.

Come to think of it, The Stand is pretty close to Salem's Lot -- 99.4% of humanity croaks and what is left is not at all what people expected.
