Cillian Murphy was great as the Scarecrow. I'm glad that for this new set of Batman films, they've moved away from the more camp villains and looking at the ones that can be based more in a real life setting. Scarecrow fits that bill nicely when done right. And I think Christopher Nolan did that quite well.
As for Rachel Dawes, pretty has got nothing to do with it. Maggie Gyllenhaal is a far better actress than Katie Holmes. Katie Holmes was the only bad thing in Batman Begins and I was so glad they got an actress who can actually act, rather than just raise an eyebrow every now and then.
