COOL new archaeological mystery in Turkey! They found a massive complex of what they are pretty sure are temples, and get this -- they were carbon-dated as being 11,500 years old. As in, 6,000 years older than the oldest pyramid, and 4,000 years older than Stonehenge. There are no firepits, no sign of places to live, no source of water even, but carefully-made stone walls surrounding massive stone carvings that were made during the Stone Age.
Meaning that Stone Age people carted everything out there from somewhere else to have what they figure had to be religous festivals.
They are not ruins. They were carefully filled in with earth by parties unknown before being abandoned, thus perfectly preserved.
