I am a member of the older generation and I too find that people my age have trouble buying in to the whole global warming and cutting down on your carbon footprint idea. I belong to three organizations who advocate being greener and working to reduce that carbon foot print. One is Texas Impact which is a grassroots churchbased lobby group in Austin, Texas who push for legislation for cleaner energy and other environmental issues as well as other social issues. The United Methodist church advocates for and encourages churches to be instrumental in education and setting the example of being "greener" and the United Methodist Women's organization nationwide also is advocating more education and action among the units in the US. This group sounds like something I am interested in and I can learn new ways to increase awareness of those I come in contact with.
