Calling all people excited to have winter here to snuggle with their books!

I am checking in here~ after a VERY long absence ~ to perhaps change the format of this reading nook. I have been very lucky to have authors engage in past discussions and think that maybe I can arrange an author chat for one evening. Or, maybe offering everyone an opportunity to give a quick blurb on a book they've just read. Perhaps some key points they remember, what they like about the author/writing style, why they recommend it, why they think we should just pass it by...etc.

I have been distracted with so many projects this past year and I really want to find some escape...even if it means hearing what everyone else thinks about the books they've been able to read. I am more than happy to live vicariously through all of you. ;) I have read a couple of books this summer, though....two. Yes, it is sad. So, with the rain and winter months approaching, I would rather stop in to hear what you all have to say instead of heading to Twitter. I think I'll get more out of it in the limited 'play time' I allow myself for social media - NOT work related.

What do you think? Is anyone still around?

I have a list of books I am looking forward to reading on my personal page. If you see anything there that sounds good, mention it here. Also, we don't have to discuss only books/ebooks. I am thinking we can branch out into all mediums such as mp3s, apps, and classes that usually can be found on Amazon, too. For example healthy eating tracking, meditation and relaxation sources, exercise dvds, etc. I think I can get my Fibro trainer contact to join us here for some tips, if anyone is interested. :)
