Finished it a couple days ago.
I didn't like Teresa. At all. Her no-nonsense, I'm so kick-a$$, personality bothered me.
But the world that was created was so amazing, it just blew me away.
In a way it reminds me of The Hunger Games.

I loved the book. I can't say it's a favorite of mine, but I still can't wait for the Scorch Trials to come out. I thought the ending was really good. The one thing that bothers me is that these people who are picked because of their smarts are all guys. Group B better have some girls in it.

I wondered about that too! Surely there are some girls around somewhere too.

      SPOILER
That is probably what they meant at the end with "group a" and "group b". I bet the other group is all girls. Maybe they realized they couldn't maroon all of those boys and girls together without total chaos :)

I just finished The Maze Runner last night. I didn't mean to, and I stayed up waaaaay later than I should have, but I just couldn't put it down. I agree with the earlier comment that it reminded people of The Hunger Games - same sort of survivalist/controlled environment setting, etc. I'm not as involved with these characters as I was with those from Hunger Games. I liked Tom & Teresa's telepathy, but I wish it was somehow more integral to the plot. Most of the time, Teresa was a very secondary character, and I wished she had a more active part instead of passive for most of the book.

I hadn't thought about the girls being group b. That could be interesting. I'm definitely excited for Scorch Trials to come out, although I really hate that the kids are still being manipulated. I'd like to see them finally break free of that mess once and for all.
