    E. Lynn Harris latest novel will hit shelves on Sept 22 and can be pre-ordered on Amazon. It's important for his fans to pre-order so that whatever day it drops he will have that number one book he always wanted.

    Happy reading!!!

Hello everyone! I just want to encourage everyone who is reading this to buy Mama Dearest. It is already out in stores and believe it or not, I had a bit of a struggle to get it.

As some of you may know, the book release was moved up twice and was released Monday. This week was a big one in the literary world with The Lost Symbol, Sen. Kennedy's biography and Oprah's new book club selection. When I called my local book store (I love Books-A-Million) if they had it on Monday (9/14) they said they didn't have it and they thought they might not get it. They asked if I wanted to order it, but I told them no and may stop by.

I did not do anything until yesterday (Saturday, 9/19). I went to Wal-Mart to see if they had it (which they usually do have his books because I have bought several of his in the past). They did not have ONE SINGLE COPY. I was shocked by this.

So I stopped by Books-A-Million later in the day. I asked them if they had it and they were able to find me a copy. But they only had two copies and I bought one. And they did not have it on the sheves because they had to grab the book from the back of the store. I told the staff (and they were very nice) that almost all of his books were NY Times Best Sellers, they should have more than two copies of this book, and that they should be displayed at the front of the store to let people know it is out.

So I'm asking anyone who is reading this to buy a copy of his book, whether is it from Amazon, B & N, Books-A-Million, Borders, your local bookseller, whatever. Also encourage them to order copies if they only have a few. If you can't afford it, request your library to get it. And keep in mind that a different publisher that printed his latest book. We may not be able to get his last book to be #1 on the best seller list, but as fans, we should at least get his last book on the best seller list.

I enjoyed this book so much! I did think the mother was wrong for staying at the daughter house while she was not there. I also think the daughter did not keep her eyes open when she thought she was in a relationship.
