In the last year or so I've gotten really into reading Young Adult books, which sounds kind of funny since I'm 24, but there are a LOT of really good young adult series out there! Some that I've read in the last year or so are Twilight, Vampire Academy, Hunger Games, Percy Jackson, etc.
My question is what young adult series/books have you read, if any, that you really enjoyed and would recommend to others?
What young adult series/book have you read the most recently and what did you think of it?
I just finished reading a book yesterday called Postcard's From No Man's Land by Aidan Chambers. It's set mostly in Amsterdam and it flashes back and forth from a old woman's memory of a battle that happened near there in 1944 and a 17 year old boy who comes from England for the memorial of that battle (in which his grandfather died). I was surprised that this was considered a young adult book, as it had some very mature subjects. It questions sexuality and gender and the boy struggles with that throughout the book. The parts about the war were really interesting to me. I love that kind of stuff. I suppose I would still suggest this book to others though.
Anyways, happy reading! =)
