  Especially when reading true crime, I would love to get more into the killer's head WITHOUT making excuses for him because his mommy was mean to him or falling back on tired psychological profiling jargon. He's a unique individual and I want to know what the payoff is for him, unfiltered by some damn dumb shrink (and a lot of them are dumb as hammers).
