Ollivanders...

I strode into a small shop, slightly uncertain. A eccentric looking man was standing in the center, his misty eyes wild with excitement.
"This is where I can buy I wand right?" I asked, raising my eyebrows slightly.
"Yes, yes of course. Your mother, Ebony and phoenix feather, ten and a half inches. You look quite a lot like her. Your father's hair though, he was Pine and unicorn hair, eleven inches. Not quite as much forceful power as your mother, but nice, pliable and great for charms." he went on a rant.
"Right. So, how exactly does this work?" I inquired, putting my hands on my hips.
"Enuegh?" Ollivander asked, surprised that I interrupted his lecture.
"I. Need. A. Wand." I said, rolling my eyes.
"Spunky girl, reminds me of your grandfather a bit. Alright." He slid his wizened fingers over the slim boxes, as if he was feeling how good they were. I resisted the urge to ask what he was doing,"Try this. Twelve inches, unicorn hair, maple, very bendy." he handed it to me.
I gave him a quizzical look and waved it a bit.
"No, no.." he swapped wands again and again, until I was handed,"Eleven and three quarters, rare jungle vine, Dragon Heartstring, from I think it was a... opal eye, very flexible, powerful and nice for hexes."
When I waved that wand, bright turquoise showers of sparks fell over the room, streaking down and fizzling at the floor.
"Ah, that seems to be the wand that chose you." I nodded and paid.

I walked into the store called Ollivander's for a wand. As I entered, I saw a man his eyes widened as I came towards him. "Hi. I need my first wand, sir." I told him. He smiled at me and said, "I know exactly what wand you need, Miss Albany, whose a direct decendant of Rowena Ravenclaw." I blushed and looked around. Daphne was about to walk out the door but, stopped when she heard that. I felt queasy. My worst nightmare. Ollivander, still quite happy and seeming unable to see that I felt horrible, said. "Measurements: 10", Wood Type: Willow, and Core: Eagle feather." He took out the wand, I waved it and it sent out beautiful blue sparks. "There you go, Miss." "Thank you." I replied, receiving the box and the wand. I gave him his money and I stared at Daphne.

"That's so cool. You are really descended from Ravenclaw?" I asked, absently waving my new wand. It caused a large rock shrink to the size of a pebble. A light haired witch glared at me, restored the boulder to its original size, and muttered something about irresponsibility,"Sorry!" I called, giggling.

I looked at my list of school supplies I needed. "Robe: check, tie: check, cat: I looked down at the gray tabby kitten in my arms

anyways, Books: darnit, I still have to get those, Wand: I have to get one of those too-" I looked up to see a big building with the heading: Ollivanders. I walked in the door, it creaked as it opened and closed. I saw a curly haired man on a ladder facing like a bookshelf full of thin boxes.
"Um, excuse me?" I studdered.
"Oh, Miss Summers! I have the perfect wand for you!" He exclaimed turning back to the shelves
"Uh...wands?"
"Of course!" he said, confused "Is this not 'Ollivanders'" he pulled out a thin, purple box. "Here, try this one." he said, handing me the box
I took the wand out.
"That one is olive wood dipped in gold with-" he said
I interrupted by waving the wand carelessly. Gold waves shot out of the wand.
"Okay then..." said the man

i walked into Ollivanders. 'is this where you get wands?' i ask timidly. 'it sure is.' a curly haired man said. he took out a box. 'try this wand. 13 inches, holly, phoenix feather.' he put in my hand. 'well, wave it.' i did.....nothing happened. 'obviously not, try this one. 11 inches, cherrywood, phoenix feather soaked in phoenix tears. this is a one of a kind. nearly died making it. if anyone has a wound, tap it lightly with this, and it should heal right up.' i wave it, and gold, turquoise, and orange sparks fly out. 'we have a winner. that will be 11.32.' i hand him some money. 'very good, very good. thank you Miss. Potter.' he says as i am half way through the door. 'excuse me? what did you call me?' he peers at me. 'are you not Lily and James Potter's girl?' i shake my head. 'no sir. ive never heard of them. im muggleborn, you see.' Mr.Ollivander smiles kindly. 'my mistake. you look a lot like James. good day miss.' my owl flapped loudly. 'its ok Shank.' i squeeze an owl treat through the bars of her cage.

"That was weird..." I said looking at the doorway the girl had dashed out of. I walked outside scanning the market for the girl just to satisfy my curiosity. I didn't see her, oh well. Wait, I saw a platinum blond haired boy teasing the girl who was now on the ground. I ran over to them. "Watch where you're going you idiot! You ruined my robe!!!" said the boy
"I-i-i-i'm s-sorry" the girl stuttered
"You'll pay for that!" he said and he knocked the girl off her feet so she was on the ground too.
"You're so stupid, you're a mudblood, no doubt!" He said getting up and brushing the mud off. A group of people were starting to gather around them, all cheering for Malfoy. I looked down at my feet, I had to do something. I saw a bucket on the ground and picked it up. I filled the bucket with mud and walked over to the crowd. I sneeked behind malfoy and dumped the contents on his head!

i walked into the shop and looked around. there were stacks of wands piled carelessly everywhere. an old man came to the front and handed me a wand. "twelve inches, black cherry wood, core of a dragon heartstring. hello, josephine." i had been in his shop before for my siblings.
"fina, mr olivander," i corrected. i waved the wand and a shower of gold and violet sparks flew out immeadiatly.
"well, it seems as if you didnt need to do much hunting," he remarked.

I smirked at Claire, why didn't I do that? Ultimate spur of the moment prank! I decided to make it a bit worse for the little prat,"You look really good in dragon manure!" I lied brightly, walking up to Malfoy.

I ran outside as quick as I could. I bumbed into this guy with brilliant blonde hair. Like mine. I bumbed him onto the ground. I shreiked. A croud was starting to gather. "Watch where you're going you idiot! You ruined my robe!!!" said the boy. "I-i-i-i'm s-sorry" I stuttered. "You'll pay for that!" he said and he knocked me off my feet so I was on the ground too. Someone sneeked behind malfoy and dumped the contents on his head! Then I stood up and tried to get away. He grabbed me by my robes. After all, I was really light. I was looking straight at him. The cheers stopped to listen. "So are you a mudblood?" He asked. I stared into his eyes. "I am a pure blood." I told him. He stared right into my eyes. I swung my feet up and kicked his face. Now he had mud on him. I kicked him again. He dropped me squealing in pain. I saw some blood dripping down his nose. I hit the mud again on the ground.

I laughed and stepped up to where Malfoy was. I pulled out a piece of parchment and a quill. This caught Malfoy's attention
"What the hell are you doing???" he snapped at me. Fine, if he had the courage to be such a jerk, I could be a jerk right back!
"Well, I'm writing down the financial supplies you now owe Laurie! Let's see, there's a new robe since hers is now all muddy, and well, bloody. There's new books since you got those nice and muddy, there's- " Malfoy now cut me off
"WHAT?!" He boomed "I don't owe this idiot of a mud-blood anything! In fact, she owes ME a new robe!" he said pointing to his muddy robe
I leaned in close to him "I think your bastard father has more than enough money for a new simple robe" Malfoy looked up and smiled. All of a sudden, I could feel someone's hot breath on the back of my neck. I slowly turned around "Oh...Hello Mr. Malfoy..."
Lucious looked Furious! **haha, hey those rhyme!**

i watch a group of girls dump mud on this boy with platinum blonde hair. i wonder whats so bad about him. what in the heck is a mudblood? i walk past him, and i slip on mud. it splashes, drenching his new robes with mud. 'YOU ****ING *****!!!!!!!!! NOT AGAIN!' he yells. 'MUDBLOOD!' i smirk. 'mudrobes.' his nostrils have smoke pouring out o them. 'whats a mudblood anyway?' i ask him. I took another lick at my ice cream. All of a sudden, I am drenched from head to toe in water. I turn around to see Malfoy laughing his head off holding an empty bucket. I laugh "That's your best shot? Water! Yes, because Water is soooo much worse then dragon manure!" I say sarcastically. Malfoy stops laughing "Shut up you ugly mud-blood!" He snarles "Nice comeback, very witty, oh yeah" I say sarcastically. "Just because I'm not a sarcastic bitch doesn't mean I don't have good comebacks. You know you're just a filthy mudblood." He snickers

i throw my ice cream at Malfoy. it hits hit square in the face, and then drips all over his robes. i smirk. "wow Malfoy. i didnt know you liked ice cream so much." i smirk. "shut up you Mudblood! how dare you even talk to me!" he spits. i take out my wand, and he takes out his. "expelliarmus!" i yell. his wand flys into my hand. i put it into my pocket. "thanks for the wand. i didnt know you wanted to be a powerless Muggle." i say, sitting down.

Malfoy snickered at Laurie who was now inching towards the corner in the brick building.
"You want to play again do you? Try to knock me over again!" he challenged. Laurie's eyes watered and she scootched even faster towards the corner.
"You know Malfoy" I said standing up "There's..." I paused, there used to be 4 of us...where was Daphne??? "3 of us and only 1 of you"
"So? I can take on 3 wimpy girls anytime!" he laughed
I looked up and held back a smile. "I walked towards him and he backed up a little bit, right onto the x made in chalk on the ground. In a matter of seconds, he was drenched in slime, we were all (well, except for Malfoy) cracking up, especially Daphne who was ontop of the building holding a huge, empty bucket!

I peek around the corner and see a boy with platinum blonde hair walking away. That must be Malfoy... I take out my phone and someone grabs it out of my hands behind me. I turn around to see Malfoy, still covered in slime and holding my phone. He laughed "Thought you could take pictures of me and send them to all your nasty little friends did you?" he snickered. "Well, lets just see what's on here!" he said pushing a bunch of buttons down. I rolled my eyes and sighed "Don't you ever learn?" I twisted his arms around. "Drop it" I ordered. He dropped it and I let him go. "You bloody broke my arms!" he cried. I sighed again "No, I didn't Malfoy. They will just be in pain for another 2 hours...Kind of like what you did to my boyfriend!" I said pinning him to the brick wall behind him. He laughed "No, because what I did to your boyfriend was hilarious!" he said, trying to break free of my grasp. "You think being a prat is 'hilarious'?"
"When I'm being a 'prat' to your boyfriend, yes" he laughed. I looked at him in disgust "I'm not going to waste my time on you" I grabbed my phone and walked away

i ran to where claire was. my mouth dropped open at a slime covered malfoy sneering at her, bu tin a scared way (if that makes sense). she walked over to us, her head held high.
"ho. ly. crap," i said. "i missed it a-freakin-gain!" i felt so mad i could scream.
"no you didnt," claire said, smiling slightly. "he accidently started recoding it. it got the whole thing."
"YES! FINALLY!" i yelled as loud as i could, which earned me some weird looks from passerby. i didnt care. i was used to weird looks.

I ran up to Fina, who just yelled and freaked out a couple o' passerby. (Sorry about the o' it's just how I feel today. It's meant to replace the of.) "What's the excitement?" I asked with a big grin. Fina freaked out explaining it for me. I hugged and congraulated her. We listened to it over and over and over and over and over. Yay! Victory to Claire.

the shopkeeper was fat and reddish. he looked like he couldnt take a joke. i whispered to laurie, "i bet you a galleon that he'll explode if i sit in one of his cauldrons.."
she giggled and nodded.
i morphed myself to appear a tall, graceful, delicate, but still deadly and feirce looking woman. i made sure i looked older than i actually was. then i turned to the nearest cauldron. "it seems to be a very fine cauldron," i said loudly, flicking it. it made a loud DONG that caused the shopkeeper to look over. he eyed me nervously.
"yes, madame, it is indeed a wondrous cauldron," he assured me greasily. "its well worth its price, i assure you."
i nodded thoughtfully. "yes, yes, of course, but can it stand my test?"
he started to sweat slightly. "your test?" he questioned.
i smiled. "dont worry. i ASSURE you that ur cauldron will be safe. for the most part." then i lifted my legs into it, settling myself into the bottom. i leaned back and closed my eyes. "ahh, yes. i can already picture some nice hot tub parties in here." i opened my eyes.
the mans face was extremely red. i could practically see steam coming out of his ears. "youn glady," he began in a pinched voice.
all of a sudden, something threw the cauldron on its side. i flew out, landing in another one. ouch.

The cauldron storekeeper guy was fat and reddish. Fina whispered, "I bet you a galleon that he'll explode if i sit in one of his cauldrons.." I giggled and nodded. Boy, this guy totally would. Fina changed herself to look tall, graceful, delicate, but also deadly, and not to be messed with. And older, like early twentys. I stood aside, grinning and waiting for the show. Fina's show started with her turning to the nearest cauldron. "It seems to be a very fine cauldron," She said quite loudly, flicking it. When she flicked it it made a loud metal noise that got the guy's attention. Poor guy looked nervous and a little scared of Fina and what she might do.
"Yes, madame. It is indeed a wondrous cauldron." He said. "It's well worth its price, I assure you."
"Yes, yes, of course, but can it stand my test?"
"Your test?" He questioned.
"Dont worry. I ASSURE you that your cauldron will be safe. For the most part." She climbed into it and closed her eyes. I giggled. "Ahh, yes. I can already picture some nice hot tub parties in here." She opened my eyes.
"Young lady..." He began.
The cauldron flew over and Fina landed on another one.
"Excuse me, sir.' I yelled, trying to get his attention off Fina. "Could you help me with this cauldron? How much is it?" He turned to me and answered. Then he turned back to Fina. "Um, sir? Could you help me pay for this? I can't lift it!" I yelled, demanding attention.
"Of course, dear." He said. I gave him the money and he helped my lift it into my handbag that held a lot more than it looked.

i got out of the cauldron and looked around for the source that had sent it flying. i had morphed back into what i had been before (long, super straight black hair, short, red-brown eyes) so the man wouldnt recognize me. i saw a man and a woman standing in the corner, glaring at me. with a jolt, i realized it was my parents. "aw, crap," i muttered. i walked slowly over, looking around for an escape route. i saw laurie talkign to the fat dude.

my mother grabbed my arm and pulled me outside. "do you wish to embarrass us on purpose?" when i shook my head, she gripped my arm tighter. "then WHY, dear child, did you make a fool of yourself in front of everybody?"
"um, i thought it would be funny?" i tried.
"there is no place for humor in the slytherin house," my mother hissed. "you know this."
my arm was starting to go white. i looked at my dad for help (which probably wouldnt happen. he was powerless when it came to my mother). he just stared back at me, his expression an odd mixture of pity and disgust.

I walked down the street to see an odd couple holding Fina by the arm. Fina's arm turned white and she was looking around for an escape. I pulled my wand out "Wingardion Leviosa!" I said, pointing to the womans fancy black hat. The hat floated in the air and the lady let go of Fina. I grabbed Fina and we started running down the street, Laurie joined us. I looked behind me, hoping she was still fumbling for her hat but instead, she took out her wand and said a spell that brought it down. "FINA!!!" the couple yelled. We ran faster, I turned around again....THEY WERE FOLLOWING US! We turned the corner and ran into a strange dark magic shop.

"Thanks," I whispered to Claire, "but those were my parents." She blushed deeply. I turned to the man. "Yes, I'm here to pick up the package for the Loraone family. My parents were delayed."
He squinted at me. "Fina?" Then he leaned in closer. "You're keeping odd company these days." he guestured towards Claire and Laurie.
I shrugged. "They followed me. I couldn't shake them. Ugh, they stink. Mudbloods, I think." I absolutely hated saying this stuff about my new friends, but it was the only way to get us out of there safely. As soon as he turned around to get the package, I apologized.
Soon he reapeared with a small thing wrapped up in brown paper. "Be sure to tell your parents about the meeting tommorrow night, although I'm sure they already know. But, just to be careful. You wouldn't want to make anyone mad. Oh, and Fina? Tell your brother and sister I said hello."
I nodded evenly. "Of course. Good day, sir." I turned and walked out, Claire and Laurie following me.

"What is it?" Laurie asked after ripping the package open. In the brown wrapping was a long silver and green stick. It had aserpent head on one end of it. Her hand reached towards it.
"Stop!" I yelled. "Knowing my parents, it's probably cursed. Let's wrap it up and give it back to them, okay?"
"If it's cursed, why would we give it back to them?" Laurie asked.
"Just... I don't know. Just trust me," I said. I had a bad feeling that I couldn't shake. "Please." I waited for her answer.

I exchanged looks with Claire. "Um, Laurie, we could take that one of two ways. The first being I'M the littlest one, being the youngest in my family. The second being YOU'RE the littlest one, being the smallest one here."

Part of me was glad when Laurie stepped away from the box, but the other part was getting worried. This didn't sound like laurie at all! Laurie was always the teachers pet who always did what she was told and followed all the rules! It didn't makes sense that she, of all people, would want to take the dangerous risk of- and then it came to me. It was as if the exact paragraph in my book came into focus, 'sometimes people will become possessed if they come too close to a darkly magical object. The objects magic will temporarily posses their mind to want to touch or use the dark object for dark purposes. The magic may eventually lead them to follow the dark lord.' I had to get Laurie away from that... thing as soon as possible! I grabbed Lauries arm and started pulling her in the opposite direction. I looked back at Fina "Get that-" I scowled at the box "Thing away from here!" I finished. She gave me a puzzled look and then ran off. Laurie attempted to push me off "What are you doing!?!?!" she screeched, trying to pull back to the box. "Laurie, you're mind is being controlled by that...that...stick! Something is taking over you!" I explained calmly. She didn't listen to a word I said, "There's nothing wrong with my brain!! It's YOURS that is being controlled! You idiot, just let go of me! It's just a stupid stick!!!" she yelled, biting me. "Ouch!" I said, rubbing my finger. I held on tight to her and practically dragged her away from that stupid box. Pretty soon, Fina caught up with us (and it wasn't a surprise, considering we were going like .000000002 miles per hour!)

Claire screamed at me to get the staff thingy away from Laurie. Not wanting to risk taking it back to my parents, I had thrust it into a random guy's hands and told him to return it to the shop.
"Why?" he asked.
"Um, because it's Dark Magic and if it falls into the wrong hands, bad stuff will happen. For example, I would appreciate it if you kept it away from my parents," I said quickly.
He got a strange look on his face- not the kind you get when you're possesed, like Laurie was, but the kind you get when you suddenly realize somethign that you probably shouldn't have. "What's a pretty lady like you doin' out here alone messin' with Dark Magic?" he asked. "You look like you need somun' to take care o' you."
"Nah, I'm good, thanks," I said, fingering the dagger I carried at all times. It probably wouldn't do any good in a fight against a real wizard (even though he looked fresh out of his seventh year at Hogwarts), but we hadn't learned any real defense spells yet, and a dagger was better than nothing. I turned to leave.
He grabbed on to my arm. "Where ya' goin'?" he asked.
"Get away from me, creeper!" I said. I slashed the dagger across his forearm. He screamed and let go of me, cursing and clutching his arm.
I didn't wait for him to recover. I grabbed the box and turned and ran back to Laurie and Claire. They had barely even moved. Laurie was struggling, trying to get back to the staff.
"Why do you still have it?" Claire asked.
"Um, creeper attack," I said. "We have to move. Like, now!"
The guy rounded the corner.

My mind cleared up. "Can't we just break it?" They looked at me with releif that I wasn't being controlled anymore. "Oh! I can do that!" I said, grabbing the stick thingy from Fina and throwing it at the ground and screaming the spell at it. Fina looked surprised and Claire looked starteled. It poofed into thin air and was gone.

I started laughing when I saw teh boy on the ground. I was laughing so hard, so crazily, that people stared at me. even my friends looked a little weirded out.
"Um, Fina? Are you okay?" Maggie asked.
"Wrong... wrong... guy," I choked out, still laughing at the guy on the ground. "He's... in... innocent. The real guy... he's way older than this dude... and... and he's standing behind Laurie." I suddenly stopped laughing. "Yeah, that's him, the one with the knife to Laurie's throat."
His knife really was pressed against laurie's throat. "If you girls take one step closer to me, or if you even think about trying magic on me, somethign very, very bad is going to happen very, very soon," he said. His voice sounded different- he had lost the accent. He suddenly looked way more dangerous. His eyes were focused on me, but as soon as Maggie's hand went to her wand, he pressed harder into laurie's throat. At the same time, he brought out his own wand. "Now, girls, I don't want much. Jus thtat pretty little lady over there," he said, nodding towards me. I took a step forward, my arms up. He nodded. "That's right. You come here, and I'll let her go."
"Fina, don't do it," Laurie said.
I rolled my eyes. "It's okay Laurie. I can take care of myself." I stepped so I was right next to him. He pushed Laurie away and grabbed on to me. "Where's the knife, sweetheart?" he whispered in my ear, his eyes never leaving my friends. "That's a pretty little blade. Just hand it over, and no one gets hurt. Better yet, I'll just take you." He said somethign i couldn't hear, and all of a sudden we were gone.

Maggie runs over to the spot where Fina and that pedophile had just dissappeared. She picked up a strange leaf, "No...oh, no!" I shook my head, staring at the leaf. "What???" Laurie asked. "It can't be..." I said, studying the leaf. "What can't be???" Maggie asked. I looked closer "Oh, my god... it is..." I said. "What is??? Just freaking tell us! We don't have time!!" Maggie practically yelled in frustration. I gave her a strange look "I think I know where they are..." I mumbled. I grabbed on to Laurie and Maggie and muttered a spell.

It was sorta like apparting with Claire except, it hurt. We landed on a wooden floor. "Are you guys feeling only half alive? I am."I said. Just then pain exploded over me and I felt my body like disapering. Screaming in pain, I watched Claire and Maggie look at me with alarm on their faces. I couldn't talk, it hurt to much. I heard Maggie yell something to me, but I couldn't hear it. I closed my eyes and went into a trance.
Then everything was still and slient. I opened my eyes. I stopped screaming, well, in pain anyway. "Laurie! I see you have joined us, the spell a little to much for your frail, little, weak body? You know, you would be so much more of a threat if you ate some meat, girl." Someone behind me snarled. I shreiked, it was the guy who took Fina. Instrincts told me to kick to my left, so I did. I heard a grunt, but then I was tied up. I was thrown aside and only one thing was on my mind, where was Maggie, Claire, and Fina?

i was hiding in the cupboard. i had heard someone coming, and i tried to Laurie with me, but i couldnt. she clawed at me, and i just ran. now i watched with horrified eyes. i took out my wand, and said a spell in my mind, so they wouldnt hear me in case it didnt work. the man basically turned into a rigid board. i ran out, and untied Laurie. "oh my gosh! are you all right? do you know where everyone else is?" i ask.

"Crap!" I said, as we landed harshly on the wooden floor, maybe I should leave all that spell stuff to Maggie and Laurie... Not to mention that I had just almost killed Laurie. She just all of a sudden collapsed, I could tell she was hurt... "L-Laurie??" I asked, she didn't wake up. I got up to look for some water or something that I could pour on her to make her wake, like what they did in the movies. The house we were in was very dirty, with boxes from floor to ceiling, crap falling out of them. There was a small trail someone had made that was free of boxes and Marti Gras necklaces. I followed the trail and weaved through boxes until I finally saw a bucket. I ran towards it, I look of relief on my face, Laurie would live after all. My hands wrapped around the handle just as something grabbed me from behind. Instinctively I screamed and hit...well, 'it' with the bucket. For some odd reason, I liked to close my eyes and hit people who might kill me, cat fight style. So I did just that and kept hitting 'it' over and over. 'It' cried out in pain, which was a low gruff, and tripped me. The bucket flew out of my hands and I opened my eyes. The boy, which I had been calling "it", was walking towards me with an evil look on his face. I tried to get up but he kicked me down. I rolled over on my back and started kicking him with my feet as hard as I could. I kicked him with an almighty kick that sent him flying backwards. I got up as fast as I could to see him get back up and charge towards me. He punched me in the face, hard and I slipped backwards on a stupid wind-up toy. I felt a hot liquid going down my lip, blood. I took advantage of the clutter and crawled over behind some boxes. He came over my way and I dodged behind another clump of boxes. He roared out like a monster when he found I wasn't where he thought I was. I kept crawling the opposite direction of him. My pants were worn at the knees from being rubbed on the floor so much. I decided to sit for a minute behind some broken down bookshelves. 'I should be far enough away now...' I thought. Bad idea. I caught my breath and searched through my pocket for my cell phone. All my despair caught up to me and pretty soon I was in quiet hysterics, wondering if I would ever see my family or friends again. All of a sudden, I heard a swish behind me. I turned around just as he grabbed me! "GOTCHA!!!" he roared. He hit me again and again until I was too weak to fight back and fell over in exaust. I wasn't knocked out and I wasn't asleep, but I was on the verge... He picked me up and, hearing a call behind him, threw me into a dark closet. For a while, I just laid there in the darkness, part of me hoping that someone would could and find me. Finally I sat up and dragged myself across the floor with my hand on the wall, feeling around for a doorknob. Suddenly, my hand touched something...a body. My heart skipped a beat as I ran my fingers through the thin hair and across it's face. It was Fina.

I looked around me. We were in some sort of castle. I was standing right next to the window. I looked outside and fought down hysteria. We were high up... REALLY high up. I looked at the man, who suddenly looked older. "Wh...where are we?" I asked.
"Somewhere your friends will never find you," he said. "Now give me that." He lunged at me.
"What?" I asked, moving backwards.
"Your KNIFE" he yelled.
I screamed because suddenly I was falling out of the window.

"Yes, I mean, I guess I'm really not sure... Oh, gosh." I said, falling to the ground again, it was the same thing over again. I cried, tears streaming down my face and I felt myself disapering again.
I appeared in a high room in the castle. "Oh, I see, Laurie... You came again, it seems.. Never mind. Just stand back, okay?" The guy didn't seem so evil this time.
"Why do you keep doing this?" I asked. The pain suddenly gone and my body perfectly healthy.
"It's a mistake. You keep appearing..."
"It's not anything I'm doing, it hurts a lot." I said, then I noticed he was staring at a window. "Whatcha doin'?"
"Mmm? Oh, Fina just fell out the window."
"You mean she was just here?" I asked, running to the window. I looked down and saw Fina, she landed in a open window.
***Sorry, couldn't let you be so helpless.***
The guy apparently thought she was falling to her death. I would've jumped, but then the guy would follow. I decided to let Fina go without me. Before turning back to him, I pulled on my best act yet, my fake crying. It was real crying, I learned how to make myself cry on command, one thing that got you away from your brothers.

I turned away from the window with tears dripping down my face and making little sobs. "It's okay." I heard a voice say.

When I had hit the windowsill I had been momentarily stunned. I was out for a few minutes. Then I blinked my eyes open. I saw Laurie's head sticking out of the window. Wait.... why was Laurie here? I couldn't make sense of it. I couldn't say anythign, and her head dissapeared. Maybe it was a hallucination. I rolled into the room that the window opened up to. It was... pink. And frilly. And Glittery. And pink. I tried not to cringe. I have nothign against pink- really, I don't- but this shade of pink in abundance was too much. I closed my eyes and lay there.
Suddenly I felt someone poking me. I looked up and almost screamed. A little girl of about 5 with curly blond pigtails and clear blue eyes was staring at me. "Are... are you the one?" she asked, which made absolutely no sense.
"The one... what?" I asked, sitting up. Ouch, not a good idea. I got a head rush and lay back down. "My name is... uh..." I had suddenly thought that giving out my name wasn't exactly the best idea. "Who are you?"
"Little Jess," she said.
"And, um, Jess-"
"Little Jess," she said. "Everyone calls me Little Jess, or just Little. I'm really eight."
"You're... eight?"
"Yes," she sai dsimply. "Now, are you the one?"
"Cuz I know what that means," I muttered. "What's 'the one?'"
"The one who's goign to save us," she said. "According to prophecy-"
"Wiat, slow down," I said. "Us?"
She nodded. Then she looked around and leaned in. "We're trapped."
"As in, us two? You and me?"
"No. Me and the others."
"How many of you are there?" I asked. My head was starting to hurt again.
"Um, six, I think," she said. "Including me. Not including you. And you're the one who's going to save us, according to the prophecy."

"Do you want to hear the prophecy?" she asked.
"Give me a second." I looked around. "Help me onto that bed."

I was getting weak from crying so much, I nearly fell over! I caught myself with the help of the wall, my hand suddenly slid down and hit something hard on the wall. "Gah!" I cried, rubbing my hand. Wait a minute, I reached out and felt the thing I hurt my hand on. It was a doorknob!!! I quickly opened it and peered out, the coast was clear! I turned back to grab Fina and was stunned to find that it wasn't Fina, it was a doll! I frowned, I was such an idiot sometimes! I crawled out of the closet and struggled to stand up. I looked around for boxes I could hide behind, but this room was clean. I squealed nervously as I ran and hid behind a chair. I looked around the room, no one was here but I saw a door. I ran to the door smiling, I might actually get out of this place! I opened the door cautiously, it led to a staircase. I walked up the 30-some stairs on that stupid staircase, when it stopped at another door. I opened up the door, no one was in this room either. There was another door on the opposite side of the room, the door led to yet another staircase. There was also a window in the room. I ran over to it, pushed the curtains out of my way and peered out, this whole building was like a tower, square, going up and down for what looked like miles! I was at least 10 stories off the ground, yet there were at least 25 stories above me! This couldn't be happening, this "house" was like one I had read of in a friggen book!

Eventually I got into the bed. "Wow, that feels SO much better," I said. "So, about that prophecy?"
"It's not a prophecy so much as Lulu had a vision," she said.
"Who's Lulu?" I asked.
"She's one of us," Little Jess explained. "She can see the future. She said a young shape-shifter will come to save us all. You are a shape-shifter, right?"
"Of sorts," I said. "I'm a Metamorphagis." I was feeling well enough to sit up, so I did. "Can I meet the others?"
She nodded. "Of course." She went to a door and knocked three times. I heard a clicking noise, and the door opened. In came a woman of about 30. After a minute, four others followed her. Little Jess made introductions. "This is the one," she said. "Her name is..." she looked at me.
"Fina," I supplied.
"Her name is Fina. Fina, this is Grace, Tom, Lola, Justin, and Drew," she said, pointing to each in turn. Grace was the 30 year old woman. Tom was a small blond boy who looked exactly like Little Jess. Lulu had raven black hair and purple eyes. Justin was about 10 with pasty skin and pale yellow hair. Drew looked like he was 13. He had chocolate colored hair and olive skin. His eyes were a striking shade of blue. He smiled at me, and his teeth flashed white. I smiled back.

I continued walking up the thousands of stairs, room after room until finally I collapsed on the middle of the 42nd staircase. I moaned, too lazy to get off the cold, hard step. I laid there for about two minutes before grudgingly standing up again. I slumped the rest of the way up the staircase and into a bright orange colored room. The previous room had been a plum purple and the one before that, a neon green. I almost had to shield my eyes as I made my way across the room to another staircase. I sighed as I looked at the 30-some stairs I'd have to climb just to get to the next room, where I'd climb 30 more. I finally got to the next room, I had expected it to be a bright blue or something. Instead it was gray brick decorated with dark, heavy chains and all different types of swords. I nervously skipped towards the door across the room, and I would've made it too... because all of a sudden, something grabbed me and pulled me back. "It" put a sword to my neck "What are you doing here?!?!?" it almost growled. I tried not to shake too much, if my neck ran into that big baby... let's just say it wouldn't be pretty. "I-I-I er, I w-was just...er" I studdered. "Silence!" It boomed. Before I could shut my big mouth, I was defending myself "Well, geez I was just answering your stupid question..." I said. I then remembered that he was the one with the sword, and he didn't let me forget it either! He pushed the sword farther towards my neck "Shut up you little brat! Now, what are you doing here??!!" I closed my mouth before I said something stupid. "I'm just trying to find my friends..." I looked down and started fake sobbing. He loosened his grip on me "Oh...I'm sorry. But I don't think they're here-" I stomped on his foot with my heel and made a break for it. "Gahhh!" He cried, holding onto his swelling foot. I ran to the door at the opposite side of the room and started running up the stairs. The stairs did like a zig-zag up to the next floor, I was halfway to the next door when I heard the other door open. "It" was right below me. I immediately quieted and bent down low to the floor. I crawled up the stairs as quietly as I could, "it" made eye contact with me through a big crack on the stairs and started running after me! I struggled up and started running as fast as I could to the next door, which is not easy to do in 3 inch heels.

I got to the door and slipped through it, I ran and hid behind a bookcase and waited. Next to me was a big beach ball, I grabbed it. I might need it for protection. I waited for about 5 minutes and then became curious about where that thing had gone, what it was doing. I held on tightly to the ball and cautiously looked out the door. "It" was halfway up the stairs, bent down and holding on to the railing. As stupid as I was, I slipped out and sat on the top step. I watched him breath deeply, then he started to get up. I followed my first instinct, which was to throw the giant beach ball at him. It him him square in the face, sending his whole head backwards and almost knocking him down the stairs. I didn't notice it before, but he was wearing silver armor that was now slightly dented. As the ball hit him, his helmet flew off revealing his shaggy blonde hair and bright blue/green eyes. He looked to be about 12, 12 1/2, 13...somewhere around there. I stared at him for a minute with my mouth wide open. "Ouch..." he said, rubbing his head. He looked up at me "Evil little..." he looked back down, still rubbing his head. "Hey! It wasn't my fault! You're the creeper who followed me!" I retorted. He frowned "I was just doing my job...which I suppose I should finish!" He said jumping up at me. I turned to run but he grabbed my ankle, tripping me. I gave up, right then and there, as he walked up and sat beside me, holding my arm so tight that it was turning white. I turned to the cold, stone steps and laid my head down. He got me. That was it. I was surely done for... but he just sat there "Now, why are you here?" he asked calmly. "I already told you, I need to find my friends..." I mumbled into the stone. "Sorry, what?" he said. "I SAID I NEED TO FIND MY FRICKIN' FRIENDS!" I yelled. "temper, temper..." he teased, looking down at me. "Oh, by the way, your shoe is down there..." he said, in a sick matter-of-factly way. I scowled and sat up. Sure enough, my shoe was rolling down the steps toward the first floor of stupid tower. "C'mon" he said, holding out his arm for me to grab. Gosh, what an idiot. Why would I willingly go with someone who is probably gonna lock me up in a stupid dungeon or whatever??? I pushed his arm away and started walking down the steps. He hurried after me until he soon caught up. "So, uh...how did you and your, uh, friends end up here?" he asked, sheepishly. "Cause some moron took one of my friends and so we followed him and so now he has Fina, I don't know where the rest of them are and now I'm here with you" I answered grimly. "Er, how many of you are there???" he said, running to catch up with my long strides. "Four, me, Fina, Laurie and Maggie" I said. "And who, may I ask is "Me"?" he asked. "Well, "Me" is Claire, Claire Summers" I answered, as shortly as I could. He smiled, "There, now we have a name for mrs. Temper. Now, all we need is some more information. Tell me about yourself" Gosh, I hate it when people pretend to be nice. I would have answered 'I ONLY HAVE A TEMPER BECAUSE I'M STUCK WITH YOU!' but something inside me stopped me. I turned to face him, he smiled at me. "Ugh" I mumbled, turning and walking away

"What's the plan?" I asked.
They kind of shuffled nervously. After a minute, Grace said, "We were hoping you wuold have a plan."
"What? Really? Me? Um, I don't know if anybody told you this, but I'm not exactl;y that smart. I'm probably the dumbest out of all my friends," I said. "I'm only good when it comes to fighting. Actually, I'm the best when it comes to fighting." I had been doing some private practicing and working on defense and attacking spells. I had them down really good- I could probably beat any first or second year in a fight, and maybe a few thrid years. Next time I was in a life or death situation I wouldn't have to rely on my knife alone.
Justin looked at me. "Well, if you're good at fighting, then wouldn't you also have to be good at strategy and tactics?"
"Um... kind of," I admitted. "I'm more of the kind of person who does stuff on impulse. Stab now, ask questions later. I was counting on someone here to help me... Well, not really because an hour ago I had no idea any of this was going to happen. An hour ago I was goofing off in a cauldron to piss of my parents and a fat shopkeeper."
"Right..." Tom said.
"If it helps, I'm good at that stuff," Drew said. "I mean, the strategy and defense tactics and all that stuff. I could probably come up with a plan to get us out."
"Why didn't you come up wiht a plan before?" I asked.
"Because I knew I would need help, and none of them are as skilled as I am," he explained. "So far, all of my plans have failed."
"Well, you're in charge here. Kind of. We'll both be in charge," I said. "And I do know one thing: we have to play to our strengths. All of you are wizards or witches, right?"
They all nodded. Lola said, "Drew and I were taken from Hogwarts last year. He's in his second year, and I was in my sixth. Justin was taken shortly after his letter arrived. Tom and Little Jess come from a family of wizards, and Grace used to work as an Auror at the Ministry."
"Ok. So, what can each of you do really well? We already know that Drew is good at planning. What about the rest of you?" I asked. In the end, I learned that Justin was the most trusted and could lie really well, Grace was a really good witch (she had been in Ravenclaw at Hogwarts) and could take charge easily, Lulu could manipulate people and see into the future (something I had never heard of a wizard or witch doing before. She said it was like me being a Metamorphagis- it was somethign you were born with), and Tom and Little Jess were smarter than they should have been. They were also twins. "Um, one mor ething," I said. "can anybody pick locks?"
"I can," Drew said, stepping forward. "It's how I got us all into this place."

I snapped out the trance to suddenly find myself on the top of the castle. How did I get up there anyway? I took a quick look around the roof and decided I would lower myself down the side of the castle until I came upon a window. It was windy though, I'ld have to be careful.
"Aresto Momentum." I said, pointing to myself and then jumping off the side of the building. I wasn't really scared to do so, I knew the charm would work. I slowly fell down the side of the castle until I came to an open window near my reach. I grabbed it.
Inside, pink was everywhere. "Wow..." I murmured. Suddenly I noticed some people.
"Who are you?" One of the asked.

I fell over in surprise at the sight at Laurie. Luckily I was already sitting in a bed so it didn't hurt. "Laurie?" I asked.
"Fina?" she screamed.
"Jeez, Laurie, kill my eardrums why don't you?" I said. "This is Tom, Little Jess, Justin, Lola, Grace, and Drew. Everyone, this is my extremely smart friend named Laurie. She is going to help us escape."
"Escape?" she asked, confused.
"Yes, escape," I said.
"Are you a shape-shifter, too?" Tom asked.
"No, she can't be," Little said back. "There's only one one."
"What?" Laurie asked, confused.
"Technically, there are more than one Metamorphagis out there. I'm not the only one. But Laurie's not one. She's just the smartest of my friends," I said. I looked back at her. "And someone else is going to explain what little of a plan we hae so far."
"We don't have a plan," Lola said.
"Exactly," I said. "No plan so far. That's where Laurie comes in. She's going to help us out."

We continued down the many stairs until I saw my shoe. Then began our trip back up. "You guys don't have an elavator???" I asked, panting. "Elevator?" he gave me a questioning look . "Yeah, so that we wouldn't have to walk up all these stairs..." I said. He still had that look on his face, so I began explaining how an elevator works. "Amazing!" he exclaimed. "Yeah..." I said "But, I mean they're all over out there, how did you not know about them???" I asked, trying not to sound rude. That look swept over him again, "Well, when I came to this castle someone had just invented the wireless telephone, February 1912" he looked at me unsure-ly. My eyes got wide, and my mouth flew open " Y-you're kidding, right???" he just looked at me. I started laughing "Haha, nice one! You got me! Haha!" He looked at me strangely, I stopped laughing. "Boy, you're good at keeping a straight face!" I complimented. "Claire, I'm serious...why what day is it now? It's not 1913, is it??!!" "It's 2009...oh c'mon, don't pretend you didn't know that!" "Ugh..." he sat on the step and put his head between his legs. "Umm...hey, you never told me your name..." I said. "Cole" he muttered. After a while a silence, he began to explain himself "I just can't believe it's been that long..." "Er, Cole...? What are you talking about??" "We've been trapped in this castle, frozen in time until a shape-shifter would come and set us free...I've been here since 1912, I guess..." "Fina's a shape-shifter" I muttered, not thinking it would do any good, I still didn't completely believe his story. He immediately brightened "Where's FINE-ah?" he asked excitedly, attempting to pronounce her name. "It's FEEN-ah, and she's somewhere in this blasted castle..." He was just about to argue and ask why this castle was "blasted" when that man came walking down the steps towards us. I screeched something that wasn't exactly a word and started running down the stairs. I pulled my shoe off "I got a shoe and I'm not afraid to use it!" I yelled, prepared to throw my shoe at that...that creep!

"Um.. You're weird."
"Thank you, anything else?" I asked saracasticaly.
"We are stuck in here, duh." He said.
"Well, haven't you tried lowering yourselves down the side of the castle?" I asked holding up my wand. "Or don't you have wands?"

"Uh, Claire?" Cole asked me "What are you doing??" "Watch out, Cole!" I yelled "He's dangerous!" I said, waving my shoe towards the man. "Uh, that's my cousin!" Cole frowned. The man put his hands up "I come in peace!" he joked. Cole laughed "Come on, Claire!" I shook my head. "What do you have against him??" Cole asked. "Uh, let's see, maybe THIS!" I said pulling up my sleeves to show him the bruises on my arms and legs. "And this!" I pointed to my lip. Cole looked at me "He didn't do that! Er...did you?" he looked at the man unsure-ly. The man frowned "Well, she hit me first!" he accused. "I think you need to take a trip down memory lane!" I said, small tears forming in my eyes. Whenever I talked about a sensitive subject, and this one was very frightening, my eyes well up with tears. It's embarrassing, really... Cole gave the man a sharp look "Jason...you-you did that?" he said, softly but forcefully.

Cole looked angrily at Jason, he grabbed my hand and pushed past him. This time, I actually let him grab my hand. His hand was warm and soft... For a while, we were silent except for the occasional muttering "I can't believe Jason..." from Cole. It felt kind of good knowing that he cared that much...about ME, of all people...I mean, I wasn't the smartest or the strongest of anything...why me?

We made our way up the staircase. Cole finally talked to me, "So, you still haven't told me about yourself..." "You haven't either" I pointed out. "I asked you FIRST" he said. I pretended to frown "Fine...well...what do you want to know?" I asked. "Everything...well, you could start with what you do in your free time..." "Okay...well, you don't get that much free time when you're at Hogwarts-" he smiled, I guess "Hogwarts" was one word he knew. "Anyways, I like to read, hang out with my friends" I frowned, remembering that they were still somewhere in this castle "um, I write stories sometimes, ooh, I love to draw!" he smiled at me. Gosh, his smile was so cute! "But, mostly acting and singing. I was in Drama before I came to Hogwarts..."

I quickly explained the situation to Maggie. "So, we've decided to play to our strengths," I said. "Like, Drew's good with battle tactics and strategy and stuff like that. He can also pick locks. Grace is a really advanced witch, better than you, Laurie."
"Obviously. She's in her thirties and I'm eleven," Laurie said.
"Right. Anyway, she's also a good leader. Lola can see into the future and is good at manipulating people, I guess. Justin can lie really well, and the gaurds trust him the most. Tom and Little are twins, and they're really smart. The gaurds underestimates them, which we will definitely use to our advantage. As for us... well, we know what we can do," I said. "And, no, none of them have wands."
"That makes things a lot more difficult," Maggie said.
"It's okay," Justin said. "They told me where the wands are. If we can get past the gaurds, we can reach them."
"Fina, why don't you give Grace your wand?" Laurie suggested.
"What? Why?" I asked.
"Don't take this the wrong way, but... you're not exactly the best person to have a wand... I mean, like you forget it and go staright for your knife," she said. "No offense, but Grace would just be... better..." she trailed off, looking pleadingly at me to understand.
"I know in the past that might have been, but you're going to have to trust me on this," I said, my face growing hot. My friends didn't know that I had been practicing on my spells. I wasn't as good as them on most stuff, but I could still kick most of their butts in defense and attack spells.
We sat (or stood) in an umcomfortable silence for a minute. Then Drew said, "I might have a plan."
We leaned in (I don't know why) and he explained it. When he was finished, I said, "That's amazing! It'll totally work!"
"Famous last words," Maggie muttered.

He thought for a minute, "Well, I like swordfighting...and uh...I read as much as I can, there's only about 20 books in this whole castle, I've read all of them" he smiled, proudly. "cool..." I said. We continued to talk, and pretty soon we were on the 39th level! "So, why exactly are we going up?" he asked. "I don't know, I was just looking for Fina and Maggie and Laurie..." I looked down, as if they would be laying on the steps. "Do you have a wand?" he asked. "Nope, left it back in my dormitory...." I muttered. "Oh, because if you did, you could say a spell to bring us up to the top floor...." 'Yeah, but then I wouldn't have met you...' I thought. I just smiled at him, I think somehow he got the message

"How do you know?" Fina asked.
"I just do, I get these feelings. Like when people close to me hurt themselves bad or on test questions or spells and such. That's why I'm good." I said, stubbornly.

Drew shook his shead. "You don't understand. These people-" he lowered his voice "- we've been looking for a way to get out since we were brought here."
"When exactly was that?" Maggie asked.
"All at different times. I'm technically the oldest, because I was brought here 200 years ago. Then Grace, about 50 years after me. Justin arrived shortly after her. Little and Tom came about, maybe 100 years after him, and then Lola came 15 years ago." He said it matter-of-factly like it was all true.
"Um, 200 years ago?" Maggie was the first to speak.
"Well, yeah," he said. "The only way I knew how long I had been here was because of the styles of slothes they brought us."
"But, that's impossible!" Laurie said. She sounded a little mad.
He smiled sadly at her. "But it's true. Now do you see why we're so desparate to leave?"
"It kind of makes sense, in a way," I said. Laurie and Maggie stared at me like I was crazy.
"How does this make any sense whatsoever?" Laurie asked.
"I mean, we would have heard if an important Ministry worker had gone missing, or two students. The others, maybe not, but don't you think kids would be pulled out of school and security as tight as ever in the Ministry if happened any time recently?" I asked. "I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure there would have been somethign abotu it in the newspapers. The fact that none of us have heard of them or their kidnappings? Isn't it kind of obvious that he's telling the truth?"
They looked at me for a minute. Then Laurie said, "Fina, I think that's the smartest thing you've ever said."

"I thought we already had a plan," I said, annoyed. I was starting to get really pissed off. Not particularly at Laurie, just pissed in general.
"We do, but it won't work," she said. "And we can't go with what you always do: figure it out as you go along." There was an edge to her voice.
"I get that 'my way' isn't the best. I didn't plan on doing that, anyway. And you know I never TRY to do stuff, it just happens!" My voice was growing louder.
"What about the werewolf?" she asked me. "You knew you were going to do SOMETHING but you didn't stop for one second to think about what! You NEVER THINK!"

Suddenly we heard loud voices coming from the 47th floor. "Geez, how many floors are there??" I asked Cole. "50." he answered. I walked cautiously as we gained on the staircase to the 50th floor, but Cole just walked casually as if the loud yelling didn't exist. I stopped at the 50th door, Cole reached for the doorknob.
"Umm, Cole..." I said, pulling his arm back.
"Mmm hmm?"
"Uh, don't you think that we would be disturbing uh, them" I said making a gesture to the door "if we went in there? A-and then they'd get even mad-der..."
He looked at the door for a minute, made a face and said "Naw". He turned the doorknob and before I could stop him, the door was wide open. I closed my eyes and cringed, the things inside stopped yelling and I could feel their hard stares upon us. I slowly opened my eyes, "Oh my gosh!!" I squealed, running to Fina, Laurie and Maggie and starting a group hug.

"Damnit," I said. "We need her. She's the best witch I know." I said this loud enough tfor her to hear, assuming she was listening. I doubted it. In the state she had been, she wouldn't stick around. I frowned and muttered to Claire, "Why is she so mad?"

I started walking out the door, Cole pulled me back. "Claire, let me go first..." he said worriedly. I turned to face him "Look, I'm probably the least important person here... I mean, Drew is good at making plans, Grace and LAURIE ARE SMART" I spoke the last part loud so that Laurie could hear me, "Maggie's good at spells, and the rest of them are important too...and well, of course Fina is 'the one'...Cole, it just makes sense". I turned to the door again "But-" he started. "But nothing! Look I'm a great screamer..." Maggie and Fina nodded in agreement. He didn't waste his breath anymore and was silent. I walked out the door, looking around cautiously. "I'll even take a sword!" I yelled back to him. I grabbed a sword off the wall in the hallway. I'd never noticed all the swords and shields and chains decorating the walls before, making it seem even more...creepy. I lugged the sword down the dark hallway, so far I didn't see anything...The hallway was damp and I felt something land on my shoulder. Instinctively I screamed and Cole jumped forward. "Sorry! Sorry, it was just water!" I said quickly. Cole stepped back slowly, unsure.

I heard Claire scream and I made some sort a peep/scream/yell noise that wasn't very loud, but the room was allready so slient that they could hear a pin drop. "Sorry! Sorry, it was just water!" She said. I instantly regretted the noise I had made, Fina was coming to investigate my corner. She felt around the corner and grabbed my collar. Fina picked me up and put me over her shoulder. I wasn't heavy after all. I moaned at her as I started to reappear. "That's not fair." I moaned. Silent tears streamed down my face.

When Fina slapped me, it hurt more than just physically. I felt like my heart would burst. You don't know what it feels like to be slapped by someone who you care about. I started to sob, really hard. I made little gasping noises that I couldn't controll.

There was an awkward silence, I could feel the tension. I immediately dropped the fact that I was the last to know about the slap and wiped my frown away. They didn't need more anger towards them right now. Fina looked mad and somewhat embarrassed at what she had done and the attention it got. Laurie looked down, I could feel her pain just by looking at her. Maggie stood there hugging Laurie, frowning at Fina. The silence was so long, with so little movement that you would have thought we were frozen in time. Frozen in time. I got off track thinking about Cole, and Grace and all them. It was kind of like they were frozen in time, except for that time didn't stop. They had to keep waiting for centuries for a shape-shifter to come along. It wasn't fair. We had to get them out of here, we had to think of a plan. I broke the silence, "Listen, there's too much tension right here right now. We have to work together and come up with a plan, think about them." I said, motioning to Cole and the group of wizards behind us. "Let's just put this all behind us, we don't have time to fight. These guys have waited long enough." I said

"Well, it really doesn't matter now," I said. I wouldn't admit it, but this place creeped me out. The halls were black. Completely black. Whoever decorated this tower really didn't know that less is more. I mean, first Little's room, and now this.

"Everybody get back. No, not GO back, but step back against the wall. Laurie, can you do a charm thingy that will make me invisible? I'm gonna go check it out," I said. "I'll take drew with me so he can tell me if it's good or bad."
She looked surprised I even needed to ask. "Of course."

"um, guys? i can make you invisible." i say, pulling out my wand. "promptus!" i say, and Laurie and Fina disappear. "i thought Laurie said there wasnt an invisibility charm." Drew said. "well, this one isnt commonly known." i say, a little sheepishly. "anyway, why dont you guys go and see what's up ahead." i say, eager to get out of here.

***they never say what the actual word that casts the Disillusionment Charm, so i looked up a word in latin, which is how JK Rowling got most of the spells, and put it as the spell. :)***

I suddenly felt weird, like I usually did after... I threw my cloak into my pocket angrilly. "Come on!" I yelled. "I knew that, too!" I suddenly felt light-headed and found it difficult to stand up straight and I remembered that I just yelled and we were trying to be quiet. "So-" I tried to say sorry. I stumbled backward. Drew, being right behind me, caught me. "Thank you." I gasped. "Drew..." I made a weird hiccup noise. My heartbeat beated faster.

We stood kind of frozen for a second. Then we heard heavy footsteps and voices coming from above us. I looked at the others. We had stopped long enough for the second group to catch up with us. "Run?" I asked. They nodded. We ran. almost everyone started back towards the room, but I didn't notice. I was to busy running towards freedom. And gaurds that were trying to kill us. But I focused on the freedom part.
***btw, totally random, but has anyone seen the movie Braveheart?***

We were trying to catch up with the first group when Bianca and I heard loud footsteps right behind us. I pulled Cole back and she grabbed Justin. Justin was startled and fell backwards with a "Garrggghhh!" and an "Ouch!" when he hit the ground. I scrambled down to the floor to pull him up, he stood up and said "Don't TOUCH me!" with a grimace. "Shut UP!" I whispered, throwing my hand over his mouth and pulling him into the shadows of a nearby doorway. Cole took Justin and got him to hush while Bianca and I peeked out. We quickly pulled our heads back in, had they seen us??? The footsteps got louder, whoever it was was getting closer... we pressed ourselves against the wall as two plump men in armor shuffled past us. Would the others hide in time? Would they be okay??

Sure enough, I ran straight into teh guards. I fired off some spells, just making them up as I went. I didn't even think they were actual spells. I just said some stuff and teh guards were on the ground, writhing in pain.

When Fina announced we were going to run, I heart felt heavy. I was so nervous and... the dumb weird feeling... Drew took off running, assuming I was fine. I wasn't... I collasped on the cold, dirty, stone floor. I lifted my head as high as I could manage to see Fina ran towards freedom, not looking back. Most everyone else ran back to the room. Behind me I heard, Garrggghhh!" and an "Ouch!" and then a thump.
"Don't TOUCH me!" A male voice said.
"Shut UP!" Whispered a familier female voice.
Then I heard footsteps, I pulled my invisability cloak out of my pocket in time that the two plump mean in armor didn't see me and walked right past. I pulled out my wand, too, just in case. In front of me a good ways, I heard Fina yell of totally random, probably made up spells. 'Finally, you can use a wand, Fina.' I thought before I passed out.

I was halfway down the stairs before I remembered everyone else. I turned to see Drew, but no one else. He turned, confused, when I shot past him. "Fina, where are you going?" he shouted.
"Where's everybody else?" I asked. "Not here!"
"But, we need to get out NOW while we have the chance!"
I shook my head. "And leave them here to face whatever terrible fate awaits them? Not a chance. I don't knnow if you felt it, but I did. It wasn't just the pink. That room is a death trap, and they all went back there," I said. "I don't know about you, but I'm going."

I walked into Ollivanders not really knowing what to expect. I mean, I figured he'd say a thing or two about my parents, hand me a wand, and then be done with it. As I walked through the door, a little bell rang. After that it was dead silent. The next thing I knew Mr. Ollivander popped right up from behind the counter. Like a daisy.
"Ah, Miss Dashboard, what can I do for you today? Wait, let me guess... a wand, is it?"
He knew who I was, of course. He remembered every single wand he has ever sold, not to mention the person who purchased it.
"Uh, yeah, just a wand." As I was talking I just kind of stared at the floor with my hands behind my back. Some first impression.
"Oh don't be so timid. I won't bite you know."
I picked up my head in slow motion. When I looked up I saw an old face. A very old face, actually. He had misty eyes that have seen more than they wanted to. He smiled.
"Yes, you look greatly like your father. Mostly in fact. Though I can't help but notice the eyes. Yes, a swell combination of both your parents."
I started rubbing the back of my neck in the way people usually do when they get embarrassed, even with no one else around.
"Alright, alright. I see that I have said a thing too much. But don't think I don't remember your siblings. Yes, fine children. Well, young adults now, I assume, though it seems like only yesterday..."
At that point I could barely hear him. He sounded a bit muffled behind all of the rows of boxes and shelves.
"Here we are."
He came out with a rather short wand.
"Cherry, 8 inches, with dragon heartstring. Give it a swing."
I stretched out my hand, just touching the handle tip, when he pulled it away with alarming stealth.
"Hm, better yet not. Give me another moment."
He again disappeared behind the stacks and stacks of boxes.
"This one I am almost sure of. Willow, 15 inches, unicorn hair. A bit unyielding, though excellent for those defensive spells. Here you are."
He handed me the wand more surely this time, and I took it this time more surely as well. My hand got a chill when I got a better grip on it. But a good chill. It ran through my palm, all the way up my arm to my shoulder.
He gave a small laugh. He must have noticed the look on my face. I didn't know what I looked like then, but I knew I felt complete awe, that's for sure.
"Well? Aren't you going to give it a go? Just a little swing, like this." He gave a little wave with his arm; hand gripping an invisible wand. I did just as he did. Gold and purple sparks flew out of the tip. They were small sparks, but very numerous. This was the one. We both knew it.
He gave another chuckle. I placed it back inside its aging box so I could buy it. After doing that, I thanked Mr. Ollivander with a little more confidence than what I came in with.
"Use it in good health," he said with a grin playing on his face. With that I headed for the door, a grin also forming on my lips.

I exhaled, relieved when I saw Fina and her group running. The guards walked right past us and continued down the hall, then they took a sharp left. Their footsteps echoed, we waited a couple minutes until it was safe to continue forward. Justin threw my hand off his mouth the moment it was possible. We waited an added 5 minutes until he was sure all his saliva that was polluted with my cooties was spat onto the cold floors. When he was satisfied enough to walk again, we jogged toward Fina's invisible path. Suddenly, Bianca fell to the ground. I turned around and helped her up, "What happened??" Cole asked. "I don't know!" she cried "It was like I..." "What?" Cole prodded. "Tripped over something..." she finished. Justin and I had the same idea, disgusted as I was to find, and we both turned to the ground to try and find what she tripped over. The floor seemed completely normal...if floors could be normal. I ran my hand over the ground and immediatly it hit something. I pulled the invisibility cloak off of Laurie.

I ran back to find Claire and Justin bent over a passed out Laurie. Bianca was on the ground next to her, rubbing her ancle. "What happened?" I asked loudly. When Claire tried to shush me, I waved it away. "Everyone already knows we're here, anyway. Let's get moving. Can she walk?" I asked, pointing to Binaca.
"I... I think so," she said shakily. She tried to stand, only to find that her ankle gave her much pain.
"Well, this is complete and utter poo," I said. "Alright, I'll get Laurie. cole, you take bianca. We're getting outta here." I picked Laurie up with a grunt. "This tiny chick has got to stop eating those extra cookies at lunch!" We started to run, but we made slow progress. When we got to the hallway where I had left Drew, I was relieved to see him standing there, waiting for me.
