The world of the Shadow Prince was horrid. Since the Prince took over, nothing had been the same.
Shadows were originally attatched to their human as a mirror.
Then, the Shadow Prince died.
And shadows turned against their humans.
The shadow of the Shadow Prince was free from him.
So, he ran around, free.
He ran into an attatched shadow. We call them Shadows; their real name are Capturied.
Well, the Shadow ran into a Capturied.
And the Capturied ran off.
The human?

Warrior Shadows; shadows of males; formed an army. They killed Capturied to make more Swifts.
The women; however; did not become Swifts.
They became Maidesho.
The Maidesho would run around, collecting the shadows of food.
Items stayed, but their shadows were eaten by Shadows.
Item shadows were called by their human name, only with an 'o' at the end.
Socko.
Appleo.
Treeo.
ect.
They could put the Os in their houses.
The shadows of houses.
Only when you went in them, it looked
like the inside of that very house; only everything was darker- like a shadow but not real.
Well, they had a problem.
At night, they had to be inside or turn to dust.
So at night Humankind- nonshadows- was safe.
But by now only very few remained.
4 men. 4 women. 4 children.
and only one of each had a shadow still.
The others detatched theirs by saying something, something that had been passed down from generation somehow; only if they told someone else- even in writing, they'd turn into the worst shadows possible:
Rulers of the Shadow Kingdom.
Kings; Queens; Princes and Princesses.
And would not be shadow nor human.
They'd be living figures of darkness itself.
They had to fight them.
How?
By stepping on them.
Sounds easy.
If they don't grab the bottom of your feet and drag you under the ground.
See shadows were still in the ground.
But only just.
If each one of those humans turned shadow;
Shadows would have taken over humans.
They'd arise as..
darkness from the night sky.
There were so many; they'd take up all the night's darkness.
They would be safe.
They'd rule the world.

(I think I wrote this a couple years ago, when I had the idea and I never actually wrote a story to go with it. Which explains the odd spacing and why parts of it don't make sense. But it was still kinda a good idea... I've definantly seen nothing like it before.)

i liked the idea of a shadow prince...hmmm how about the shadow prince is the good guy and the flame-fingered dude is the bad guy...the flame fingered dude takes over the world and the only person that can stop him is the shadow prince...very original lol

Okay- the prince marries the evil guy's daughter to infiltrate the evil guy's base. but at the wedding, the prince and princess tie up the girl and marry, with the princess posing as the daughter. At the end of the wedding, the prince pulls whatever he kills the evil guy with out of his tux jacket, the bride lifts her veil to show herself, they grin and kill the dude.
