Hi, Recently my father was seriously ill in hospital. His chances of surviving were not good. One morning the phone (landline) started ringing at home. It was not the regular ring with breaks in between the rings. It was one long continuous RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
which got progressively louder, and louder, until we could not hear over it, and it was certainly ringing louder than the maximum volume which the ringer was normally set at. Each time we picked up the receiver the line was dead. Each time we replaced it, the ringing continued. Eventually we left the receiver off the phone. Every time the phone was ringing I had strange, ominous feelings. That night I had an extremely vivid dream about my late grandmother - my father's mother. The following morning the phone was still acting in the same way. Then around lunchtime I tried to replace the receiver again and it was perfectly fine, and in fact as I replaced it, it rang normally and there was a caller on the other end.
A few days later my father passed away. I used to work in a telephone exchange. I had never heard of anything like this happening before. We asked neighbours at the time if their phones were ok, and they were. And I could not discard the feeling I had each time the phone rang that somebody was trying to get a message to me. After the dream of my grandmother, I felt as if perhaps she had been sending a message to say that she was coming for my father. Am I just being ridiculous? Does anyone have any similar experiences to share? I am very keen to find out if anyone else has had something similar happen.
