The Challenged Reader's Next Reality Book Star 1st Results Night!

After our first check-in, the results are in! Readers have tried their hardest and the fans have voted. Here's what we have tonight:

    (drum roll)

Cora R and Nicole R have both starred on one amazing reality show
Jen M, Rachel H, and Kairilily made the rounds on two shows
Mary B has shown her personality on three programs
Southwest Zippy and Clockstein gained a lot of fans on five reality shows
Tenia has graced audiences across the country and gotten her fifteen minutes of fame on a remarkable 7 shows!

Tenia is currently in the lead for being on the most shows, however,

Southwest Zippy is dominating in the re-occurring role of a Documentary style show since she has been on four different seasons of True Life! She is tied with
Tenia, and Clockstein for being on the most Documentary shows without repeating a show.

    However,

Jen M and Tenia are in a neck and neck competition to see who can star in the most Historical Re-Creation shows since they have both been on 1900 House for one season.

    Meanwhile,

Tenia, Jen M, Mary B, and Clockstein are plotting against each other to take the lead in the Dating category. All four ladies have made one appearance on either Average Joe or Date My Mom.

Don't change the channel yet because

there is a five way tie between Tenia, Cora R, Nicole R, Clockstein, and Kairilily to see who can compete on the most reality game shows. So far they have each made an appearance once, but any one of these ladies could make an appearance any moment now and take the lead.

While those ladies are battling it out we have Rachel H standing alone as the leader in the Talent competition. I wouldn't take that spot for granted as one of the others may jump in to take your crown!

Tenia and Clockstein must be some very brave ladies. So far they are the only two people brave enough to go on Scare Tactics and live to tell the tale. Will one of them be brave enough to risk a second episode? Or will one of them decide to show her naughty side and take the lead by starring on Girls Behaving Badly? Find out next time!

So far there are a lot of ties for various categories! Keep reading and find out who will take home the crown, travel the world, become an idol, top chef, top model, or have their pants scared off next time when we reveal the new results of The Challenged Reader's Next Top Reader!

Thanks for letting me know. I'll check the spreadsheet and see if I made an error there or if I read it wrong when I went to post.

I also only had two shows at the first check in. You are right that one of them was in talent. Hmm, I'll have to see if I have any books about modeling to keep my talent lead :-).

I see where I made my error. I accidentally typed in three shows for Jen M, Rachel H, and Karilily, when in fact, you all have been on two shows. I have two shows in my spreadsheet. Also, I have listed Mary B separate from you guys, but still have her down for three shows. Mary B has starred on three shows, but Rachel H, Jen M, and Kairilily have been on two. I will correct this in the original details right now.

So sorry! My brain knew to list Mary B ahead of you, but my fingers wanted to give you guys the same amount of credit! Darn typos.

Mary B, I'm not at home right now so I can't access my Excel file, but I just checked the post for the check in and you posted three novels:

Aethelred the Unready: The Ill-Counseled King
      The Alvin Karpis Story
      The Sugar Queen

      Is this correct?

Yes, but it's only 2 shows. The first 2 are biographies.

Mary, what did you think of the Alvin Karpis Story? I read it years ago and thought it was gloriously self-serving. :)

Definitely self-serving but really funny! I really enjoyed it. I've got his book on Alcatraz out from the library now so maybe one day.

I'm still trying to get Dillinger Days. It's only available at the good library and it wasn't in the last time I was there.

I was going to say I only had two shows too, but looks like you figured it out. :)

Mary B, I still went ahead and included the same show that was used more than once. I figure that possibly in the future it may get changed to another show, or, we're looking at some other twists. So in the end there may be something for having multiple books for the same show.

Loved Dillinger Days! It really is a classic, but you have to discount his views of poor Ma Barker. =)
