This group is actually a game and this game is for anyone who wants to join.
The rules of the game1. Keep profanity levels at a PG level
2. Limit sexual content to PG
3.Please have an admin's permission before you start a post that does not relate with writing
4. Have fun, take risks, and don't worry about how good a writer you are
5. Try to avoid using substitute letters like "U" instead of "you." It's hard to read and some people are less likely to take you seriously if you do that.
The gameOne person begins a story, poem, epic etc. and writes as much as he pleases until he reaches a climatic point. The next person takes it up and does the same. It is very funny when well done and even when it isn’t it can be a fun thing to laugh over
ExampleShe ran, her feet padding softly on the ground. She thought of nothing but running and even though her lungs seemed like they would burst she kept on, her feet moving swiftly and surely. She had to get to him before…before. The thought of what might happen if she didn’t arrive horrified her and pushed her to run even faster. The sounds of yelling men filled her ears growing closer as she rushed toward a billow of...
Here the next person would write what they thought the billow was. Many decisions are left in the story for others to answer which may make it more complex and better as it goes. As for this story the character’s name hasn't been decided, her reason for running is not yet clear, the location is unknown and it isn’t even known whether she is human or not yet.
How To Role Play(If you've never been in a RPG, please read!)
Everyone has a character that they make up when they enter the story, just don't go stealing characters out of books, movies etc, thats not cool. The main rule is no godmodding, meaning you cannot say if something happens to another character unless that person said it happened. So if someone had a character named Bob you could not say "Bob went to the zoo" unless Bob already said that that he was going to the zoo, or whatever.
A good example of a RPG post:
Person A
Character X:
I was walking down the road. It was a sightly windy day, but the sun was out and flowers were in bloom.
Person B
Character Y:
I saw someone heading down the road.
"I'm Character Y," I told him/her, "who are you?"
Person A
Character X:
"I'm Character X," I said.
An example of a bad RPG post:
Person A
Character X:
I was walking down the road. It was a sightly windy day, but the sun was out and flowers were in bloom
Person B
Character Y
A person walked up to me.
"Hi, I'm character X, who're you?" Character X said.
_______________________
The above post of person B's was incorrect because character Y could not have character X say: "Hi, I'm character X, who're you?" because character X never said "Hi, I'm character X, who're you?" (Role playing rules from Historical RPGs)
