I've read all the Harry Potter's great books. Twilight is going on my wishllist (the buzz has me interested). Please write a review for Cross Stitch, I've been hearing about this Outlander series and would like to know what you think about it.

whoa, kris... 6 out of those 8 already! but, yes... there are many more where they came from...

bunnitaz... i've been hearing great things about the Outlander series, so i hope it lives up to the hype, and doesn't disappoint... will let you know what i think :)
although not sure yet which order i will read the above... it is high on the list, as it fits in with a couple of other challenges i have joined in this group :)

Bunnitaz I've read the first book of the Outlander series and it is GREAT!! I just loved it. Can't wait to read the second book but I will start it next year (I mean in January :) )so it will fit with some of my challenges :)

Joanne, I would love to know what your opinion of it is after you read it :)

sure will let you know desert rose :)

my biggest fear is that i will love it so much that i HAVE to read the rest in the series straight away... that means that all the other books i have lined up for the challenges will be put aside and then i won't complete my challenges... LoL!

oh dear ~ i'm not off to a good start with this challenge...

i can't get into the first book i picked to read ~ had to abandon it on page 102...

(took me several days to get that far, because i wasn't in the mood for reading it... grrr... i'll try another book for a different challenge, and come back to this one soon).

What did you think of The Gunslinger? I didn't quite get it.

I didn't quite get it either. I read it for CTT and it was the first Stephen King I'd ever read. The interesting thing is that I can't pinpoint what it was that I didn't get. There was just something about the book that didn't sit right. Ever since I read it I've been debating on whether or not I wanted to read further into the series, wondering if things would start to make sense. I have yet to make a decision.

I had the same reaction as you did. In fact I have the second in the series sitting here (I got it before I read the first one) and I can't decide if I want to pick it up since I still have the Stephen King and western tags I need for CTT. It took me so long to get through the first book I am not sure about the second.

I love Stephen King... but this is one book that i just did not like... i am so glad that it is not the first King book i have read, otherwise i would never have read all the other amazing books of his that i have loved!
Needless to say, i didn't read any more of the series, even though i have been encouraged to by those that have read the whole series... perhaps they do get better :)
