    Baby boy names

    Save Changes Cancel

Well I know I'm having a boy (I'm due March 1st) but I'm having a hard time finding boy names my husband and I agree on. I love the names Keilan Rhys and Callum Rhys, but my husband dislikes both of the first names. Rhys might stay our middle name and could become a first name, but right now we like it as the middle name. Asher Rhys is one he likes as well as Rylan Rhys. We both like Gavyn but I can't seem to stop picturing Gavin Rossdale when I hear it so I'm not sure. What are some names that you like? I'm up for more to add to my list for my husband to pick over and say no to most of. Also what do you think of the names I've mentioned? Is there strong potential for teasing with any of them?

Gavin means battle hawk i believe. I liked it too. We like the name Ronin if we ever have another boy.

Yeah, I think it is Battle Hawk. I LOVE the name Ronin. Totally would be the top of my list, it was the first boy name I loved. BUT I have a nephew named Roman and when said out loud sounds almost the same. So nope, doesn't work : (

Is Rhys pronounced like reese??? I have 3 boys, if I had another one here are some of the names I would consider:

Liam, Preston, or even something along the lines of old fashion. My daughter's name is old fashion and I love it, it's Cora.

Give me some time to think this could be fun :)

Yeah, Rhys is like Reese. Not sure what I think of the other names you mentioned, I don't think I like Preston, Liam is okay though. Oh, and I like Cora. I worked with a girl named Cora but I think she's the only Cora I've ever known. Definetly think of more names!

asher and gavyn are both cool names too. they're something i think he wouldn't cringe about when he gets older. i don't mind picturing gaven rossdale. i never really paid much attention to him, but a few months ago i was watching his video and i just stopped and was like...'ohhhhhhhhh, my my'. lol. he has beautiful eyes. and he and gwen make gorgeous babies.

lol. i never even noticed him until the 'love remains the same' video. i think what really made me take notice was i saw how adorable kingston was in a mag and i didn't think he looked like gwen so i took notice of his daddy. my my, what i've been missing. his shower scene in the video is hot as hell. woo wee!!!

only i could take a thread from baby names to hot daddies. *shamefaced yet giggling*

My husbands middle name is James, but we both agree that its too 'normal' of a name.
I haven't seen the video with Gavin and actually haven't paid attention in years, but I'm sure I've seen him in a magazine or two, or something. I do remember those dreamy eyes though...

I love them all, except Adair (makes me think of a flamer, sorry) and Evan (too common) and I'm not sure of Ardan. My husband didn't like Keilan so I don't think he'll like Cian, actually I think I already asked him. He didn't like Callum either. I wanted Ronan, but my nephews name is Roman and it sounds the same, or nearly so when said out loud. These are great names though! I wish my husband wasn't so difficult. Feel free to bring on more!

LOL...thought Adair might be a bit much.
Okay next will be mostly one syllable because men seem to prefer them. They turn robert into Bob or Rob.....Michael to Mike.....Daniel to Dan...well you get the picture. So if you find some you like who knows he may too.

Brock, Dane, Flint, Hale, Holt, Kale, Cade, Kane, Gage, Levi, Finn, Ian, Dax, Kole, Shad, Zane, Quinn, Tye, Vail, Sloan, Gwain, Logan, Saxon, Seger.....and since you like Gavyn how about Cavan.

Still looking so let me know....Reen

Cade is on our list. I have a really good friend named Levi, but I like the name, I think it might be a bit too common though. Oh, and I have a cousin with that name. Brock is definetly a no, I don't know why I don't like it, but I don't. My husband mentioned Flynn or Flint last night and I shot that one down. Kane is on our list, I think... I like Tye, but would probably go with Tyler and I have a few friends with that name. Too common, I guess. Gwain is good, I might have been shot down on that one, have to check the list. Logan is too common, I think I have 3 cousins with that name ( I have ALOT of cousins!). I'll have to roll Cavan around a bit... The rest I'll have to think on. Ian is good, I think I wrote that one down before also. Thanks for giving me more to think about!

i'm reading a book with a character called roran.........again, real close to roman. i was reading a mag article last night with the stars' baby's names. good googally moogally!!!! it should be a crime to strap a kid with some of those names. i mean, mowgli?? zuma rock? to each his own i guess. your husband is picky picky picky. lol. i went through the same thing with heather's dad. that would be why she has such a plain jane name. my new little nephews are kayne and kaleb. we have a keegan. a thatcher......lyncoln.......sawyer.......jeramiah.........josiah........maleik.........malliki.....thinking about my own family. i've recently heard hermes, willow (supposed to be unisex but i still picture a little girl), stephon, deigo, even a hercules!!!

I love Ian as I have a brother called Ian. I also liked Logan Rhys, I don't think you could have Rylan Rhys Redinger (the three Rs).

We decided on Jaevin Rhys. My MIL's name is Jane and FIL is Calvin so it is their names together. I'm pretty sure that's what we've decided anyway. Baby isn't here yet so you never know!
