This group is dedicated to discussion of the origins of the universe and life. Posts should be related to biblical Creationism, directly or indirectly, whether from a Creationist, ID, or Darwinian perspective. Creationism herein is subject to open scientific, metaphysical and philosophical discussion. This means you are free to discuss any scientific or philosophic discipline so long as it pertains in some form or fashion to the broad subject of origins. This may go so far as to include discussing any aspect of the biblical "creation model" to any aspect of the ""uniformitarianism model" or any hybrid of the two such as ID or theistic evolution.
For clarification, the "creation model" accepts the biblical account as revealed truth from God describing the origin of the universe. It also includes the six days of creation and human (and non-human) development to the present fitting the biblical record - essentially anything explaining our current observed nature from a biblical perspective. The creation model includes catastrophic change (ie Noahic flood) and supernatural interaction with nature. The "uniformitarian model" assumes no supernatural influence in the origin of the universe, life generally, or evolution of life into its many currently observed forms. It further assumes little or no planetary catastrophies (ie Noahic flood) and that change has generally been gradual and development from disorder to order, including cosmic development and evolution of life, has taken place by random chance over billions of years.
