I have tried, (I really have) to like her "book". LOL, but I just couldn't get into it.
Maybe someday I will try a different book. It just seems that she was not getting anywhere with it. I'd rather sit in Mr. Holcombs class listening to him talk about a frogs reproductive system (and that's pretty bad) than to read her book that I was reading.
Still to this day my overall favorite is; The Kendrians series by Patrice Michelle.

I'm a big fan of Kenyon too. I'm just starting this series over actually. I've read the first few but there were too many book inbetween so I'm starting over. lol It's hell to get old with no memory.

I too need to start the Dark Hunters series over; I have missed a few books and am out of the loop.

I had difficulty getting into the (LKH) Anita Blake series. I read a book out of order, didn't get the why’s/who’s and may not have been in the right "mood", so I tried again a few years later and was addicted with book one.

I haven't read Bast yet but I love Lynsay's books. I have them all and have read about half. They are funny and sexy and I enjoy her take on Vampires and how they became.

I agree that BDB just keeps getting better.

I love Anita Blake (LKH), but can’t seem to get into Blood Noir. All the books had pros and cons, but I enjoyed each story. I stopped reading on chapter three, maybe I am not in the right mood for LKH, and to be fair I will try again later.

I have been meaning to try The Twilight Series but am having a hard time making time for it. I know that I am one of few, but I think that the fact that it revolves around high school kids is my problem. I will keep it in my TBR stack though. Never enough time.......sigh

I really enjoyed Twilight. I couldn't put it down. It may be centered around high school kids but that doesn't take away from it. It's just a totally different take on Vampires and love.
I really like Macallister too. She is a kick and The Dark Ones are wonderful.

I agree, I love Sherrilyn Kenyon and can't wait to read Acheron. I also like Amanda Ashley and Laurell K. Hamilton, and I prefer stories about incubus vamps (they're always fun).

I've written a few vamp stories myself, the latest of which are "Under Cover of the Night" through Phaze (www.phaze.com) and "Wonton Wishes and Vampiric Delights" in the Midnight Showcase digest "Sinful Sundaes 3" (www.midnightshowcase.com).

    Thanks,

A fairly new series is Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress novels, Halfway to the Grave, One foot in the Grave (not sure which is first). EXCELLENT!

I've read book one, Fantasy Lover by Kenyon and wasn't too impressed. I've also read the first BDB by JR Ward. I have book 2 but, idk, just not really me I guess.

But Cat and Bones in Jeaniene Frost's books are great.

Hello! I only read one Sherrilyn Kenyon-and I was impressed by it. Linda Lael Miller vampire series is also good-try reading them. The first one being FOREVER AND THE NIGHT-the succeeding books i forgot the titles as it was already long time ago. Nora Robert's vampire trilogy which starts with MORRIGAN'S CROSS, DANCE OF THE GODS and one book coming up. Please download Anita Blake series so I can browse it also. Thanks!

thanks karen! umm, i know my ignorance is showing, but by being published by ellora's cave.......does that mean i WON'T be looking for it in my library? all this e-book reading and such is so new and foreign to me. i'm not sure half the time if i'm searching in the right place for something anymore.............k, well, have i mentioned i live in a box under the basement steps to anyone lately? lol. you'd think that's where i currently reside with how out of touch i am with all things new and shiny.
