Yeah, it was the first thing I saw when I turned on my computer half an hour ago. Wow! There have been so many huge celebrity deaths this year. I guess this was another that wasn't unexpected, though. Still very sad...

Yeah, he seemed like a great guy- he will be missed. Pancreatic cancer is reportedly the most single deadly cancer with about only a 1% survival rate- he lived longer than most after his diagnosis.

I had a friend who died of Pancriatic cancer 6 weeks after she was diagnosed. I loved him in North and South, but ofcourse that had some of my favorite actors in it. Jonathan Frakes, Kirstie Alley, Genie Francis. and ofcourse dirty dancing

Confession: I have never seen Ghost (1990) but I have seen Dirty Dancing way too many times. I've also tried to watch Red Dawn a few times, always finding it a bit to violent. I love The Outsiders though.
A current issue of Rolling Stone (with Stephen Colbert on the cover) had their 50 awesome things about TV and one of them was PS's Roadhouse which apparently is the most-shown movie in syndication at present.

I was just about to ask everyone's favourite movie with Patrick Swayze?

Mine is definitely Dirty Dancing, and The Outsiders is right up there, too.

Of course, it was a very small part in The Outsiders.

Ghost. I've seen most of his others except for Roadhouse- I'll make a point to soon, though. It's a shame that it's taken a celebrity death to get some action going on the page. i think Patrick's passing has actually generated more responses than Michael's!

I really liked Ghost, Road House, To Wong Foo, and of course Dirty Dancing.
