Recently i read 2 of Khaled Husseni's novels, A thousand splendid suns and the kite runner. i was touched by the spirit of the afghan people in the face of so much hardships. is husseni the best in portraying afghan life or is there any other author who does that better?

Khaled is ofcourse an accomplished writer and there are many others as well and one of them is me as well. BUt i am not a novel writer i am more towards history and knowing about the facts and telling them to others as they happened.

i've read both the two books of Khaled Husseni, he's a really good writer, despite the disagreement i feel about some of his major opinions,
well anyway, i've also read "My Guantanamo Diary", the writer's also an Afghan, her book's not mainly about Afghanistan but she talks about some of her visits to Afghanistan (for she's an American with Afghani roots); about traditions and people and so on, it's a good book as well.
