Okay guys got about a thousand questions to ask you because I am so far behind. Do you guys think that the Winter King is going to be in the last book? He did say he could find Maeread anywhere. How did you guys feel about Maerad's feelings for the elidhu? I was pissed off because at the time I thought that Cadvan, Darsor, and Imi were all dead. I wondered how she could have feelings for someone that caused her so much pain. In addition, was or is anyone upset that Maerad lost her fingers? I mean she is walking around with a thumb,forefinger, and half a middle finger. I was waiting for the moment her fingers would reappear, but they never did. I hope they do in the last book. One more thing about the winter king, do you think he was the nameless one's lover?
Another subject, the poem in the beginning of the book you know where it is saying one is the singer, and all that stuff. Who do you think Maerad and Hem are? They are both seeking the song. I think Maerad will have to sing because she doesn't have her the fingers anymore, but I don't think Hem can play the lyre.
Last subject I promise :). at what point in the book do you think that Maerad and Hem will be reunited? Do you think it will be in he beginning because at the end of the crow Hem had a dream about Maerad in Pellinor, do you think he will follow his heart and tell Saliman they should head to Pellinor? I can't wait fo Saliman to find out that Cadvan isn't dead! Okay I'm finished now :P

i am sooooo glad that someone besides me likes to babble on about their thoughts...i'm always doing that, and as a result, my emails are always about fifty million paragraphs long....

i didn't like the winterking at ALL. i was soooo mad at maerad when she fell in love with him!!! honestly, how could she fall in love with such an unsavory person? i mean, you wouldn't mind if she fell in love with cadvan or dernhil, but the arkan is just the weirdest guy.....

i am really upset that maerad lost her fingers. like you, i was waiting for her fingers to come back....remember that part where she's "singing all her love for hem" and her hand comes back? why couldn't it come back after she left?

i sure hope arkan wasn't the nameless one's lover....i'm so sick of all this boy-loves-boy stuff....it makes me really uncomfortable. it weird.

yeah, i was trying to figure out who maerad and hem were too....and i think i had it figured. remember the line about "one is the singer, hidden from sunlight"? that would be hem, i think, because remember when he's living underground in nal-ak-burat? he's "hidden from sunlight". and maerad is "the seeker fleeing form shadow" member, she was on the quest...fleeing from the elidhu, who could be called a shadow of sorts....and also, she's being looked for by the nameless one, who's definitely a shadow, and hem's not really being chased at the moment. that's what i think, anyway. i'm probably totally wrong. i really hope that maerad and hem are reunited at the beginning...omgsh, gotta go, my ride's here.....this was soooo fun!!!!

You guys are the awesomest friends a girl like me could hope for because you voice all my doubts and questions for me!!!

Winterking: well, his power kind of MADE Maerad fall in love with him. I was mad that she fell so easily though. I think that he was the Nameless One's lover, but ya know, I completely agree with Susan because I am sooo against homosexuality.


Maerad's fingers: I don't think that they will come back at all. Or maybe, when she NEEDS to play, e.g. to defeat the Nameless One, her power will bring her fingers back so that she can play, and then they will disappear again.


Roles in the poem: I think that Susan has it figured out. I don't have the book out in front of me right now because I have to go to a ballet class and am leaving in a few minutes and have to get off the computer anyway (wow, that was long!!), so I don't remember the entire poem. More on that when I have more time.

I have to go!!!! TTYL!!!

yeah, it's just so much fun talking about all this stuff!!! i don't think i could stand waiting for the singing half so well (if at all) if i didn't have tons of people to blab my ever-changing thoughts to.....

i had to go to this history camp this morning, so i got cut off a lot sooner than i wanted too...

Winterking: (see g, i like your abbreviated way to tell what you're talking about) yeah, g, i guess you're right, but i still don't really get what was so attractive about him. i sure hope she doesn't stay like this....member, she says to cadvan that it still hurts to leave him or something like that....you'd think that now that he's gone she can just be relieved and released from her love or something. that's what I'D do, anyway. lol. heart of stone, that's me.

Maerad's fingers: yeah, maybe they'll come back, but i doubt it. somehow with all these modern authors things about change and things never being the same twice and all. and actually, it'd be kinda corny if they did come back. i just wish she never lost them in the first place. i mean, come on, FROSTBITE? that's so random!!! believable, but annoyingly random, all the same.

Arkan/Nameless one: i guess i know that they were lovers, but i'm like gianna....way against all that. i wish it weren't in the book.

Singers/Seekers: well, you know my thoughts on that. i do hope i'm right, just for the fun of it though. i like trying to figure out what's going to happen....and i've been right a couple times, like about inkheart/inkspell, but more about that later. (or not.) you know, i was thinking, i know maerad doesn't have her fingers to play her lyre, but does she need them? i mean, maybe you don't use a lyre to bring the treesong back. or maybe you do, and that's why the symbols are on the lyre....more probable. but maybe she'll use that tuning fork thing that hem found....with the other half of the song on it. or maybe they get put together and something happens with them.....i really don't know....i'm kinda confused with the treesong in general.

i can't wait until saliman meets cadvan!!!! it's gonna be soooooo cool!!!!!!!

Treesong: I am soooo confused!! It will be very interesting to find out how AC puts them together and reunites Maerad and Hem.


Winterking: even though she is apart from him now, regardless of his power she did fall in love with him (EWWW!!) and she is having a small problem letting him go (like with Dernhil).


Maerad's fingers: maybe she DOESN'T need them to play her lyre. Or maybe she doesn't have to play her lyre at all....I agree with Susan, frostbite?? I mean, it is very probable but still....


Cadvan/Saliman: their meeting will be splendid. As will Maerad's and Hem's.


Mysterious Poem/Prophesy (clever, huh??): I suppose we'll just have to see who plays what part.
