Finished Adam By Jacqueyln Frank - ★★★★

I really liked Adam's book , at first i didn't think i was likiing with Frank was taking the series but it truned out good. the first 60 pages were the hardest to read becuase some of the stuff that happens but you got to push through the sadness to get to the good stuff :)

I loved Adam and Jasmine together but i think they should of had more of his relationship with her in the book they didn't really show much of it ,like Frank did with all the other books . that was only thing i didn't like about this book .

but other then that the book was pretty good.

Up next Pleasure of a Dark Prince By Kresley Cole .

Wow, worked some Conrad in did you, did you know that when Conrad wrote HoD, English wasn't his first or second language, it was his third? Bright fellow. Not a supper happy ready, but excellent... Did you also know that the movie Apocalypse Now is very much based on that book?

I am now reading Awakened, 8th book in the House of Night Series.. so far, this book is killing me emotionally, just like the last two... I finished Awakened, 8th book in the House of Night series. I really enjoyed it, I think it is my favorite of the series so far. Destined is the next one, I think its technically the last of the series, with a few other back stories or side stories of certain characters.

I am not sure if I am going right back to BDB for Vishous's book, Lover Unbound or not... I think I might read "Cleopatra: A Life" by Stacy Schiff first...

I finished "Cleopatra: A Life.". I thought it was very interesting. I love history and it was great to read Stacy Schiff's researched biography of Cleopatra. She would go down in history as a seductress and a manipulating woman instead of the powerful and persuasive leader that she was. I think I am going to read Lover Unbound next, the 5th book in the BDB, Vishous's book. Then I think will read Destined, 9th and final book in the House of Night series.

Yes it's the second book of the series. I've really enjoyed them both and can't wait for the others. There are some cross-over characters from her Demonica series in them, but you don't need to read that series first, from what I understand.

Finished Pleasure Of A Dark Prince By Kresley Cole ★★★★

And it was pretty good , i loved the characters but i did feel that the book could have been shorter then it was ,there was some filler that could have been taken out .
but other wise it was good , i love how Garreth won't give up no matter what he's so funny and Lucia is pretty cool too but i just didn't understand why she didn't tell him about some of the things that go on in this book , it would have made both their lives easier. i loved Nix in this book she is awesome she is like one of the best characters out there.

Finished Demon From The Dark By Kresley Cole. - ★★★★

This is a great book i enjoyed every moment of it . I loved how much chemistry Malkom & Carrow had and that no matter what happend they both wouldn't give up , and the way how at first they don't speak the same language but they somehow learn to understand each other , i also loved how well Ruby took a likeing to Malkom that was just so cute , and the plot was great i can't wait to find out what happend to the others .

Nix was pretty awesome in this book they didn't show her much but the parts that did was great.

Overall just a kick ass book and series .

Ok, let me play catch up here a bit.

I finished Lucinda, Dangerously by Sunny (3.5 Stars), and it wasn't bad. Its a second book in a spin off series so parts were predictable, but it was easy enjoyment. (The main Monere series is better)
    Review: http://www.shelfari.com/books/5354160/Lucinda-Dangerously/reviews/3418477

Once I ran through that, I got The Crystal Warrior by Maree Anderson (3 Stars), a late judge book for this romance contest I'm a judge for. The book had a lot of positives, and an interesting lead character, but in the end the plot was just a bit forced for me.

Then for my birthday, I read Drink Deep by Chloe Neill (4 Stars). It was a really good read, nice plot and great characters, but the ending I thought flawed so it lost a point for that. Review:
    http://www.shelfari.com/books/18113065/Drink-Deep/reviews/3418590

OH! And I couldn't put First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones, down and I loved it. What a fun time, I splurged and gave it all 5 stars! Review:
    http://www.shelfari.com/books/16818807/First-Grave-on-the-Right/reviews/3420258

Had another late judge book...apparently they like a guy that can read fast, ha.
Read Unexpected Magic by Anna Macela (Magic Series: Book 5)
    3 Stars
Nothing wrong with it, but nothing exceptional either. If you are a PNR fan, you'll be able to fully predict the book by the end of Ch 2. Now, off to Second Grave on the Left

Ok, let's see. My wife is a committee chair so I read up on rules of order:
      Roberts Rule of Order
Pocket Manual of Rules of Order for Deliberative Assemblies
by Henry M. Robert and Sarah Corbin Robert
I refuse to give it a star rating because I look at reading it as a necessary evil. I will however guarantee it's ability to cure any insomnia you may be suffering. I think what you can find on the web is more to the point, and the idiots guide book isn't bad. If you have a motion however, better do it by the book!

      -----------------

Then I got back to my fun read and I practically inhaled:
Second Grave on the Left by Darynda Jones (Charlotte "Charley" Davidson: Book 2)
      4.5 Stars.

Such a great series with a great cast of characters. UF at it's finest. My Review:
      http://www.shelfari.com/books/17874693/Second-Grave-on-the-Left/reviews/3439997

      -----------------

Since I just couldn't stop myself...I have like no self control...I went on and read:
Third Grave Dead Ahead by Darynda Jones (Charlotte "Charley" Davidson Series: Book 3)
      5 Stars

I think this is the best book in the series so far. I did a quick review:
      http://www.shelfari.com/books/22327456/Third-Grave-Dead-Ahead/reviews/3440064

      -----------------

In my disappointment over the next book not being out yet, I also read the novella (or perhaps it's just a short story):
For I Have Sinned by Darynda Jones (Charlotte "Charley" Davidson Series: Story 1.5)
      3.5 Stars

It was quick and mostly an advert for the rest of the series, but it was fun. It was also told from another characters perspective which was a twist. Short review:
      http://www.shelfari.com/books/23872013/For-I-Have-Sinned/reviews/3440093

      Just finished
A Perfect Blood by Kim Harrison (The Hollows: Book 10)
      4.5 Stars.
The Hollows continues to be hands down one of the best series in the Urban Fantasy genre, and this latest book won't disappoint. Where as most long running series seem to deteriorate over time, I think Kim is only getting stronger. Wonderfully fun with the same great cast, a few new faces, and of course love her/hate her/want to beat the hell out of her, Rachel. If you like UF, then you haven't lived until you've read The Hollows.

      Then went on to read
The Warlord Wants Forever by Kresley Cole (Immortals After Dark: Book 1)
      2.5 Stars.
Meh, nothing exceptional. I just didn't buy the whole "he has my chain, but that's secretly what I've always wanted" thing. I'm going to give the next book a try and I hope it's better.

      Then came
Red-Headed Stepchild by Jaye Wells (Sabina Kane: Book 1)
      4 Stars.
Really nice UF and I really hope this series continues as strongly as it started. It had some really interesting bits to it's world building and mythology. The characters are all strong (I've met Mr. Giggles now, ha) and the plot had plenty to keep me reading. The book played on emotion nicely and had enough romantic hints to make that interesting too.

I can't help it, I'm going right on to start The Mage in Black. Hope it's as good as book 1!

Damn it. I hate it when I'm in a series and the book ends in a cliffhanger and I just, like, have to go right into the next book, you know? (*snort*)
The Mage in Black by Jaye Wells (Sabina Kane: Book 2)
      4.5 Stars.
Sabina continues to grow as a character and she's learning that she's not as alone in the world as she once thought. Great story that ends with a thread undone...so off I to right into the next book in the series Green-Eyed Demon

Ahh, inhaled Green-Eyed Demon by Jaye Wells
      4.5 Stars
Sabina wraps up a number of lose ends in this book, in a most Sabina way. She does a good deal of growing and it's nice to see her settling into her new life. She's really finding her place and starting to accept that she's part of a team and hell, she's almost well rounded,... well, perhaps not that far. We get to see a more of her and Adam, and we have progress as well as a lot of tension on that front as well. We meet some cool new characters and the setting moves to New Orleans which works out nicely. There are still enough things undone that I want to read on, but the ending this time isn't really a cliffhanger.

I've come this far...and after all, there is only one more book out in the series.. so I'm going to read right on into Silver-Tongued Devil

Finished Fallen in Love I really enjoyed this! I love how they all kinda intertwined together but were seperate. Def read Passions before this one otherwise you'll be confused about some of the story. Can't wait until Rapture comes out!

Reading I am Number Four: The Lost Files Six's Legacy I loved this movie and I have until saturday until my book club meets and tuesday until one of my new books comes out so thought i'd give this series a try.

    Finished Lothaire - ★★★★★

Oh my god it was so freaking awesome i love this book . I was so elated to read it and i cound't put it down . Kresley Cole just makes you fall endlessly in love with her characters and the whole world she has written , she just sucks you in .

I have been waiting to read Lothaire book for what feels like forever and it was worth it , i think this might be the best in the series so far .

Lothaire is so hot and totally insane but he just makes you fall helpless in love with his character , it was upsetting how he treated Ellie at first but i like that she was the only want to stand up to him no matter what . I love the witty banter between the 2 them is was so funny ,they were made for each other.

I loved that we got to know new characters and i hope they get their own books too , they all seem really interesting .

I loved Nix in this book she was so awesome ,i badly want her to get her own book soon. I need another IAD fix, i just can't get enough of her books:).

If your a lover of PNR then you should read this seires right away.

Now not sure what i am gonna read ? so many books to pick from .

Just finished Pride by Rachel Vincent
and just started The Shifters by Alexandra Sokoloff

Pride was awesome i just wish i would have known it was book 3 in the series ... and of course i can not find any of the other books anywhere for my nook... Just of the series ... its about werecats and there fight for territory etc...

Just started The Shifters but so far it is really interesting... Its about 3 sisters who are keepers over New Orleans ... they each are the protectors of 3 different "others" 1 is vamps, 1 is weres and 1 is shifters... this book is centering around the middle sister who deals with the shifters... only about 50-60 pages in so far and am totally hooked

I just bought the book before the movie came out, so I watched the movie and because I did, I haven't picked up the book off my shelf too read yet and not sure if i will. I hate going over the same things, so I was thinking of skipping the first book and heading straight for the 2nd one. What do you think ? read book 1 or just skip to book 2?

HON is by far not my favorite series. But I am this far into it and invested too much time to quit now. Yes I am stubborn. With that said, I will also read the next Sookeh Stackhouse book '_'

I just finished Awakened, the 8th HON book. It was definitely my favorite of the series, so far. I had a hard time getting into the series at first.. especially the first book. I almost didn't continue to book 2... But I have enjoyed most of them after that. I thought they got better and better, but maybe that was because I was also already so invested in it. Which Sookie Stackhouse book are you on? I haven't started the series yet, but I have them.. I plan on starting them sometime this year. I am caught up on the TV series, I heard the books are so different from the show, so that has been putting me off from starting to read the books.. I don't want to be reading and watching two totally different things..

I agree. Awakened was the best book for me too and it is thanks to Rephaim ♥ I have a thing for villains. I can't explain it, they just do it it better. I also like Kalona, however, Nyx is totally annoying me as the series progressed.

Yes, the Sookie novels differ from the show. You can say they did not hold back on creative liberty. The first season was verrry close to the book though. After that, they changed it quite a lot. Charlaine Harris is a mystery writer, so in every book there is a new villain, and for lack of better terms, a new crime to solve. I am up to date with the series so I read them as they are released. The last book released was "Dead in the Family" and it was very disappointing to the the point that I do not want to continue, but i have to lol.

I feel that Allan Ball makes Bill to be a saint in the HBO series. When you read the books, its like UGH get staked already! Bill gets credited for all the saving the day he DOESN'T do in the books. It drives me nuts! I'll let you come to your own conclusion. All I will say for now is Eric Northman FTW! GET A VIKING!

I totally agree, Rephaim definitely helped make that my favorite book.. I kept thinking that whole book and the one before that, "they better not kill my raven mocker!" :-) I liked Kalona a little more after what he did in Awakened with Rephaim... I find Zoey and her "guardian" to be annoying.. I am glad her "consort" will be back in the picture, even if its in another form.. I am curious as to how that is going to play out.. I believe Destined is the last book in the series. There are two novellas out that I haven't read yet either... One about Dragon and then one about Lenobia...

Thanks for the info on the Sookie books. I do plan on reading them.. eventually... I am glad the books don't make Bill the knight in shining armor that the TV series does.. I can't stand him! But the last season did reveal that a lot of what he did, was not what it appeared to be.. and there has been more with Eric.... I love him.

Aint that the truth! Rephaim stole every scene! Even the almighty Nyx got off her high horse for him LOL. I too am annoyed with Zoe and whoever her consort/guardian/sick puppy of the moment is. It's like Jacob and Bella all over again except with more tongue...and blood. And...i really hope Destined is the last book. And it does not need a spin off...unless its stars Rephaim and the Raven Mockers (great band name).

Def give the first book a try "Dead After Dark". Eric is a rascal in the books. I adore him.

I normally listen to audiobooks for books ive already read and they help refresh. And i swear i learn something new every time. Like when you watch a movie multiple times :) Audiobooks are just way too awesome. I have an ipod dock in the kitchen so I am always playing one while cooking or cleaning.

It is pretty annoying when u are working though. I normally enjoy them best when i escape my desk to go file. Its like watching a movie!

My fave audiobooks are the Harry Potter series read by Stephen Fry. He is very animated and does a phenomenal job with the voices and overall story telling. Highly recommend for kids. I will be playing them for my naphews and kids (when i have some).

The Dark-Hunter series read by Holter Graham are addicting too. Today i am listening to book 19 (No Mercy)...and the entire series really is soo aweome!!

I have a library of my faves and can talk about them all day lol.

Finished Last Man Standing By Cindy Gerard - ★★★★★
and It was totally awesome i loved everything about this book , if you love Hot men,Kick ass chicks ,Guns,Smut and Killer Action then you will love this book .it's got a little bit of everything .

I have loved Joe since the first book and i was so happy that i finally got to read his book ,i love Joe & Stephanie together , they have so much chemistry , Joe is little intense and trys to keep everything that has happend to him inside because he doesn't want her have to deal with his pain and alll the stuff he's had to do in his line of work and Stephanie is kinda passive at times ,she tends to keep her emotions close to herself but once they get into the thick of it she finds who she really is and Joe loves her all the more for it .

The only thing i missed in this book was that they didn't have much of the other BOI boys in the book like they do in the others but otherwise it was still totally kick ass.

I am sad to see this series end but it was so awesome i loved every book .
But i am happy to say that Cindy Greard has a new series coming out and the 1st book is about Mike Brown , i can't wait to read this book.

Up next is either Immortal Rider By Larissa Ione , Darkness Rising By Keri Arthur , Magic Slays By Ilona Andrews or Darkness Dawns By Dianne Duvall not sure which one i am gonna read.
