Wordweb is a great little program - which follows the pattern of several software apps. They offer a lite version for free. If you want the industrial strength one, you can buy it. And then have modules you can add on for geography terms and foreign languages. The base pro model is $29. The free one is - well I think you get the picture. This is better than the Thesaurus in Microsoft Word in case you're thinking - hey I already have one of these. And Word doesn't have a dictionary. This is a cool tool!!
