Thanks for joining AAR on Shelfari. I think some introductions are in order, at least as far as your Shelfari membership is concerned. I originally had a Shelfari on Facebook, but eventually, not long ago, came to Shelfari. And learned the hard way: You can go from Shelfari to Shelfari on Facebook, but not vice versa.

Anyway, I originally planned to only input my DIKs, but I've decided it's more interesting to, over time, move my library of finished books here as well. As of this afternoon, I've got 368 of my books added, which is probably one fifth of what I'll eventually be adding.

I think it's very cool to look at everyone else's shelves, and particularly to compare favorites. Okay...that's me...how about you?

Hi, Everyone! I am excited about this new extension of AAR. It is always interesting to see what others are reading, what their favorite books are, and how my list compares. Sometimes I feel as if I am out of the mainstream, but maybe i just don't really know what books are on others' shelves.

I have started entering the books on my keeper shelves which is about 350 books. A drop in the bucket compared to some others, I know. I'll also start adding in books that I have borrowed from the library that I really liked, too. Looking forward to meeting other people and their books.

When it comes to lists and books, I keep names of authors I have enjoyed in the past or read consistently and book titles that will work for me in the present and near future. However, due to the Annual AAR Poll, I do now keep the titles of books that were my favorites for the year. So, that's what I'll be doing here--keeping the current year's DIKs. Sorry I won't be more of a contributing member, but I have no backlists to draw on. But even with that, it should be fun to see what everyone else is enjoying and maybe get more hints of what to read. What also is fun is getting to learn another program (have to keep stretching that mind).

Hi, All. I really like this idea - it's great seeing what everyone else likes or dislikes. I was just going to put up my DIKs, but I've now decided to list all the romances I kept track of. However, I'm not very technologically savvy, so please bear with me as I figure out how to do everything. Slowly but surely.

Hey everyone: I've got most of my books in my spreadsheet, a lot on Librarything and just some on Shelfari. A few, one might think as they look at the 738 (and counting) but I probably have about 2,500!

Hi everyone! This is really quite fun! I'm working through my lists, author by author, and am planning on just listing my very favorites (although I suspect I got a bit carried away with Nora Roberts).

    Hi Everyone,
I just discovered Shelfari last week and have managed to enter all the books I've read (since I started keeping track). I have all the books in my collection on librarything already and I also have my entire collection saved on my book collector program so I think I'll just keep the books I've read on Shelfari for now. I'm slowly entering in my ratings for the books and any reviews I have for librarything already.

I am a mom of 3, I have been reading romance books for a while, but just recently been able to start working my way through my To Be Read pile. So you website has really helped me in reading books of genres I like and weed out books. I was keeping track of all the books I read by leaving comments on Amazon.com, but this is great!
