I'm reading "The Sunrise Lands" by S.M. Stirling and I just finished "Coyote Dreams" by C.E. Murphy. Apparently, I'm really into initialed authors lately. :)

All the Pretty Girls was written by J T Ellison and P J Tracy wrote Monkeewrench which I didn't even include above. I think I'm into authors with initials too. I also read a J D Robb book, Loyalty in Death!

The First Patient is supposed to be really good. Let me know what you think. I might be interested in reading it. I really like Harlan Coben as well.

I really liked "Hold Tight". I love all of his books, though.

I don't think I've ever read anything by Michael Palmer. If I have I don't remember right off. I really need to check him out.

I am reading Patricia Cornwells Book of the dead, listening to Anne Rice's Mayfair witches and The Tin Collectors by Stephen Cannell, started a few pages of Sharyn McCrumb's The ballad of Frankie Silver.

I loved the Anne Rice "vampire/ witches" series. LeStat was my favorite vampire. I like Patricia Cornwell as well. I like the Kay Scarpetta series. I didn't like At Risk which is the only non-Scarpetta novel of hers I've read. If you like Cornwell, you might like J T Ellison. All the Pretty Girls is her debut novel. It involves the FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit and the Crime Lab as well.

I quit reading the Kay Scarpetta novels because she started writing them in present tense and it drives me crazy. I was a pretty big fan of them before that.

Anita Shreve writes some in the present tense as well. It takes some getting used to but I kind of like it for a change. It seems like more authors are writing that way now though. Don't you think? Or am I just reading more authors than I used to read? lol.

I regretfully haven't read a Scarpetta in quite awhile.

I am not understanding what you mean by present tense Rachael.

Book club selection, "A" is for Alibi by Sue Grafton. It's a reread, I've been a fan from alphabeth go, but it's fun to see how much I'd forgotten. Also reading Don't murder you mystery by Chris Roerden. Very good for all those mystery writers out there who keep getting rejection slips--she doesn't pull any punches on how to clean up your act.

I really want to start that series! Every time I think about it and check in the library the "a" book is checked out! haha! I may just buy it and then I will be able to get started. I thought if I read them in order I could keep up with where I am in completing the series a little easier. Or maybe it's just that need for order that I have!
