  New year!

  Hello darlings!

  Happy new year! I hope 2009 is going very well for you so far.

  Did you receive any wonderful books for Christmas? Discover a good read in the bookshop during the January sales?

  Also, do you have any favourite books that you read again and again? Mine is a collection of Sylvia Plath's work I received when I was eleven. I retrieve it from my bookshelf at least once a week for a quick fix!

  I am loving the Mark Twain biography I purchased this week. It is so very interesting and I drink in the pictures as much as the printed word.

  I received a book on SNL and a collection of Edith Wharton New York Stories. I also got a gift card to Barnes & Noble and will use it towards a purchase of Charlotte Bronte's Vilette for one of the book groups I belong to.

  My copy of The Virgin Suicides (hair on the cover, not the movie tie-in) is well loved. Also a book on the Mitford girls.
