    Current Books for April

What are you currently reading this month?

Right now, I am reading Edge of the Sea by Rachel Carson and Women in Love by D.H. Lawrence. If you love anything about the ocean and the sea, I really recommend Edge of the Sea! It's so beautifully written and the book has amazing drawings scattered throughout the pages. It's such a beautiful book!

Edge of the Sea looks lovely! I am currently reading Jane Eyre. Miss Bronte's writing style is so amazing, I feel like I am seeing everything through her eyes, experiencing everything Jane is. I really ought to read more classics!

I'm currently trying to finish Atonement by Ian McEwan. I started it in March, and I just haven't found the time or energy to get around to finishing it. I hope to be done by the end of the week!

The only thing I have planned so far is a rereading of Lolita for class. I've been hunting around Borders for recreational reading but I'm having a hard time taking any book I see seriously. Any suggestions?

Right now I am reading Mr.Darcy Takes a Wife, it was a gift from a friend. So far I really like it, I suppose if you are a Jane Austen purist you may not because sometime her writing style is so forced compared to Jane's.You really cannot out do the Ms.Austen.
But if you read it with an open mind you may find you might enjoy it.

I'm currently reading Love by Angela Carter, because I really enjoy her work and want to read more. I just finished Paul Auster's Travels in the Scriptorium today; it was quite good but very unusual. I am also reading The Portable Dorothy Parker (because she's such a fascinating woman) and Peter Guralnick's biography of Sam Cooke, called Dream Boogie. I like to always have a few very different books on the go.

I'm reading A Quiet Belief in Angels by RJ Ellory and also I'm about to begin The Other Boleyn Girl. I really recommend the former, it's very reminiscent of Catcher In The Rye.
