Soul or Personality, Which One Do You Usually Align Yourself With?

In reading the "Seat Of The Soul" by Gary Zuav, I started to wonder how many of us understand that when we make a decision, we are aligning ourselves with our soul (which is good and truthful) or our personality (which likes drama and may lie).

It is a choice. However, to make a rational choice, we must step out of the present and into the future to determine if the choice will produce a positive or negative karma. What would possible convince one to knowing make a decision that would obviously produce a negative karma? These are my questions. What are your answers?

I found quite enlightning answers in Dr Scott Peck's books, particularly in The Road Less Traveled and in The Road Less Traveled and Beyond. I do work consciously to make decisions based on truth, aligning myself to my soul, as you put it.Still, there's so much to learn about ourselves... Life is such an amazing journey!
I'll try and get the book you mention. I gather you recommend it.

I definitely recommend the Seat of the Soul. I honestly don't know how many times I have read this book. I am drawn to it each time my life takes another step up to enlightenment. This year, when I was reading "A New Earth" ( for the third time), I found myself reaching for it again and reading both of them at the same time.

Thank you for the two recommendations of Dr. Scott Peck's books. They are on my list of future reads.

Life is an amazing journey. But it took time for me to get to that understanding. I lived life as a journey and did not recognize how amazingly wonderful it truly is.
