Try Withering Tights by Louise Renninson and the Georgia Nicolson Diaries also by Louise Rennison. In that order. Withering Tights is really good for a ton of humour and then once you've read through that start with Angus, thongs and full-frontal snogging. Yes, it is a movie under the title 'Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging' but the books are far far better and much more hilarious.

THE MAZE RUNNER by James Dashner!! it is a book sort of like "The Hunger Games" (which i also recommend) that has a different, almost scary society. ENJOY!! ;)

I think the Princess Diaries series by Meg Cabot is perfect for any young women growing up :). I read them my freshmen through senior year, but I think a junior high student would be just fine to read them. Nothing inappropriate, just normal things that every teenage girl goes through in life. And believe they are NOTHING like the Disney movies that came out a few years ago! Believe me!! :) Check them out if you get a chance :)
