  Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes! I am now 27 and, as my father pointed out, one more step toward 30. I had a wonderful day and, even better, I don't have to go in to work today so I get to read all day!

    Don't worry my mother informed me I have 4 more years til I hit 40 then the next day the dr said I'll need bifocals at 40 and i think I actually growled at him

    I'm actually looking forward to my 30s...by then I will be Dr. Nicole, hopefully have a real job as opposed to this permanent student thing I have going for me now, and maybe I'll actually make money! lol In the meantime though I am going to enjoy my late 20's :)

  Happy birthday, Nicole!

  I really enjoyed my 30s, hope you will too! I became Dr. Judith around my 30st as well, and although I am well over 40 now I still don't need any bifocals or reading glasses, so there's hope! One tip (to do with growing older): use face cream every day, cheap or expensive, doesn't matter! :-)

    Today I have been reading In the Woods by Tana French (it is taking me a long time to read!) but now I am heading to an interview for a grant and then I am having my girlfriends over for birthday dinner and to watch Bones :)
