    My father passed away this morning at 8am. I just don't have any more words.

    My condolences on your loss. I too lost my father some years back, to prostate cancer. At least he was able to see his first grandchild. Take care, and my thoughts are with you.

      Thank you very much. Cancer is what took his life. It was located in his face.
      He was looking forward to seeing his first great grand baby due in Dec. I take comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain.

    No matter how old you are, losing a parent leaves you feeling a bit unmoored. I'm so sorry, Zippy. I hope you've got other friends and family around you to share good memories and support each other now.

      My Dad was 64 "sigh" and yes I am surrounded by wonderful friends and family. We have been laughing and crying.
