Hi, I am new here but sure do love cats!! There are currently 5 who are generous enough to share their living quarters with my husband and I.
Merry Martin is a beautiful velvety gray/black tabby who rules (male-named for the Hobbit and our first landlord, Chester Martin who passed at 17). Merry, or Big Boy as he is known, fetches everything that isn't nailed down. He doesn't eat dry cat food unless it is multi-colored, no plain brown morsels for him!
Pippin, M's actual half brother and another Hobbit, is as wild as a domesticated cat can be. I think he will always be part feral. And he will by pass fried chicken for red beans and rice.
Chester is our angel cat. He is a gorgeous orange and white tabby who is just about perfect. But he likes all baked goods; we nicknamed him "the Martha White kitty" after the Martha White commercial on the Grand Ole Oprey radio station.
He is also cousin to Merry and Pippin
Angus McGee is a black and white beauty who is totally "out there" somewhere! Sweetest cat on earth but just not quite with the rest of the herd. And always a tad late to everything.
Smeagol (yes, another tribute to Lord of the Ring) is a roly poly calico who will eat anything!!
Then we have the stray calico I feed every night but she hasn't quite started to trust me enough for me to catch her and I just call her Callie.
