What do you feel?

what do you feel when you want to make an Art but you cann't? You need a place to show it but there isn't! you need people to show your work but there isn't! Sometimes happening to me and I feel i am dying.

Sometimes it doesn't come and we call that a "creative pause" while we get more juice flowing.

Sometimes there is no where to show it and we call that "holding sacred space" while we wait.

Trust that the art will come again and use this time for good.

you know I always live with the fear that I will loose my art sense before use it. I try to be patient but sometimes like now When My creative pause goes long I cann't help thinking. However your answer made me calm.

I am glad you are calmed......some of my creative pauses have lasted years...and still it comes back. This too Shall Pass.

If I am blocked in expressing my art ~ I journal and I play music and doodle ~ play with paints, paper, collage or just accept the respite & know that my muse will return ~ Regarding finding places to show your art ~ try art associations that are local ~ or if you belong to a church ~ start an art corner to sell your work & get other artists in the church to contribute ~ I did just that & art corner is working & now am organizing an Art show for the spring with church artists and other artists. Online is also a good place to find groups focused on art & selling their art ~ Etsy is one & Yahoo has groups also.

you know I am not looking for selling my work I mean it is not my desire (off course I would be happy if someone buy it), art to me is a way to express myself to others. it is like speaking to me. If sometimes I have fear is because I cann't talk to others.

I am not sure what type of art you do, but it helps me to get feedback from others. I have a gallery on splitcoaststampers.com and I also know rubberstampchat.net has a free gallery. flickr could also be another place you could post your work. Addng a link to your gallery in your e-mail signature can get you some exposure as well.

I don't know about can't...but rather, too lazy. I am writing a book right now, so I am not painting, drawing, sewing...it frustrates me, but it's me stopping me!

I am doing sculpture I think nothing can compare with making art to me because I have found it a way to express myself completely sometimes I think maybe I have mental problem for the such a authority.

Sometimes I'll look at stuff on the internet and get inspired right away. If I don't get inspired after looking around a while it means I'm tired and need to focus on other things.... but that's just me.
