Audiobook Fans,

Take the earbuds out of your ears and come on out and say hi. Twelve years ago, someone loaned me two cassette audio books; a true adventure tale called, Heart of The Sea by N. Philbrick and a second, a memoir called Times of My Life by Max Frankel. Bingo! I've been hooked ever since.

Don't get me wrong, I still turn pages at night, but I now out pace audio for paper, 3 to 1.
Audiobooks have given me a reach far beyond my capacity as a rather slow reader. A great narrator can make the spoken word experience even more memorable (at times, it can be breathtaking). And trust me, there are 100's of great voices out there (Grover Gardner anybody?).

As you well know, with the latest technology we're no longer limited by selection, availability or price, thanks in large part to Audible.com. I now never travel without a fully charged Iphone preloaded with my next set of audiobooks. And hopefully if this reading group is successful, I'll never travel without your excellent recommendations. So zing away, lets get thing started!
