Does anyone read Marjorie M. Liu?

I had gotten a Dirk and Steele book a few months ago and passed it onto my sisters without reading it. Then I got in her upcoming book and it sounds really good. It took me until this month to figure out that Dirk and Steele is a paranormal detective agency and that each book can apparently be read on its own. Is this really the case? If anyone has read any, I would love to know what you think. I've got more to send my sisters, but am planning on reading a few myself first.

Oh, and I also picked up The Iron Hunt, also by her, anyone read this one yet? Vicki Pettersson recommends it in her blog.

I have read all of the above and they are all good. The Iron Hunt is really different.

I am reading the Iron Hunt right now and am really digging it. I like the tone, the new take on things and its pretty nicely paced as well.

I was looking at the Comic Con schedule for Thursday the 24th (Yeah a week and a half and I can go geek out) and she is on an Xmen panel as well. I didnt realize she did anything with the Xmen 'verse.

Fantastic! Thanks guys. I'm going to try and read a couple of the Dirk & Steele books before I ship them off to my sisters, but Iron Hunt is going on in my massive TBR pile and her upcoming title is in my review stack.

I have read everything she has written, and I really think she is one of the best authors in the genre. You can't predict the course of the books, every one is different from the others. I love them, and she is on auto-buy.
You can read them seperately, but the heroes in the previous books appear in the new ones, so it is nicer to read them in order if possible, for a background.
    I give her 5 stars.

I've been reading her work since she did one of the Crimson City books. Fantastic! Yes, the D&S series can be read in pretty much any order, but it's one of those that I think you get more out of if you stick to chronological sequence. Contrary to some of my friend and patrons, I like that each book has different characters in it; I know some just want to follow the same couple over and over.

I'm reading The Iron Hunt right now. When I was about 2 chapters in, I thought I was going crazy - I just KNEW that I'd read either the exact same thing or something so eerily similar that I was worried about senility! LOL! After a quick peek at the reveiws on Amazon, I realized that I had read about Maxine - in Liu's novella entry for "Wild Thing". Whew! I really like the different tone of this book and am axious to see what happens.
