I haven't read any of the Best Novel nominations (though I will probably pick up Palimpsest at some point -- I loved The Orphan's Tales) nor have I read any of the Best Novella nominations (though I have already preordered the paperback edition Nell Gwynne's Scarlet Spy, which includes The Women of Nell Gwynne's and another short story). I have seen all the Best Dramatic Presentation (long form) nominees except Moon, and I would probably root for District 9 simply because it's the most satisfying science fiction-y of all of them (though it's a close call between that one and Star Trek). And I have never read anything by any of the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer nominees either. I feel so out of touch!

I find myself feeling out of touch all the time... how do you keep up?.... I have not read anything off the lists for several years now... a few years ago I made a point of reading the nominees... but have been unable to do so since... and with this year being the Year of Rediscovery I haven't purchased much of anything new, simply revisiting my own library to find the forgotten treasures within. I do find it interesting how many of the older ones I have on my shelf...
