    A successful Signing

    Save Changes Cancel
I had a very successful signing this past Sunday, the 6th. I felt like a celebrity for a while with the line of fans extending around the corner of the store. I promoted it by giving away and All-Inclusive-Romance package and having the local newspapers list the event. Barnes and Noble also sent out invitations. Barnes and Noble informed me, after the event, that I sold all the hard copies they had in stock and half of the paperbacks. My next signing is Sunday, May 18th at Constellation Books in Reisterstown, MD. Let me know if I can be of any assisstance in doing a signing. Skip

Thanks for sharing about your book signing, Skip. Just today I was trying to think of something I could use to promote my own signings when my book releases this fall. You've given me food for thought. Congratulations on your success!!

Skip, you said that you gave away a Romance package. Did you do that through a draw? I'm thinking of a give-away and thought that perhaps I'd have those who came to the book signing enter their names in a (free) draw.

Hi Sharon. Yes. Everyone that purchased my novel received a ticket. At the end of the reading and signing, I had a local radio personality draw the ticket. It was a very great event. If you would like any marketing help, I have a degree and as I have always stated, marketing is 65% of being a sucessful author. Your friend, Skip

Thank you for your offer of marketing help, Skip. WOW! I certainly will keep you in mind as a go-to person. I haven't yet heard what marketing plans my publisher has but I plan to start working on this soon.

I'm glad to hear your signing went so well. I hope future ones are equally successful!

      Peace.

Just me again...and all-inclusive romance package sounds like a pricey gift. Did you have it donated by the resort/inn?
