As many before me have stated, knowing what users say is the first step, but comparing that with what they actually do, will provide the most useful information. Knowing that the web is all about constant change, we must assume that accurate analysis must arise from the most flexible, advanced methodologies. If you dig deep enough, you will find where it is, who is using it and who is falling behind.
