Abraham, Ismael, Isaac and later Jesus and still later Mohammed (blessings upon him).
Judaism, Christianity and Islam all trace their roots to Abraham. This group is devoted to building bridges between the faiths and learning from each other about our fathers and mothers in devotion.
A few ground rules to set the tone for our discussions:
This group is rooted in mutual respect for each other. This means that no matter how much you disagree with a person's views/beliefs, while on this site, you will commit to treating each other with mutual respect.
In practical terms this pans out into the following ground rules:
1. Please engage your brain before posting. Take a moment to consider how your words may affect the people who have to read them. And be ready to apologize if you unintentionally cause upset.
2. Stick to the subject being discussed or start a new thread. Move the discussion forward, adding constructive comments rather than simply repeating yourself mindlessly or posting in a way which will deliberately antagonise others.
3. Moderate your language and refrain from needless swearing or from being racist or sexist. Don't try to bully people, coerce them, mock or belittle them, but rather engage with people and their views.
