It is notoriously difficult to get into someone's head especially if they suffer from mental health 'difficulties'. No one can begin to guess the ways in which the human brain deals with such trauma; there are infinite possibilities. However, Michelle LeBlanc has done a remarkable job as she relates the story of Daphne, a young woman trying to deal with her past when she was sexually abused by her father.
There is usually a complex relationship between a patient and her therapist with the patient needing to trust her 100%. Ms LeBlanc has captured this well and with sympathy.
Belts, Buckles and Pajamas is an intriguing story of remarkable courage and faith. It will undoubtedly provoke deep emotions in all its readers. One you cannot afford to miss.
