    Wouldn't You Know.....

As soon as the water is cut off you get thirsty or have to use the bathroom.

Everyone has a "wouldn't you know" moment =^D

    What is yours?

I'm a chapstick addict. The moment I realize I don't have mine with me, I have the overwhelming need to use it! And then my lips feel chapped all day.

When my water filter jug is empty is when I am desperate for water.
When I get to the doctor's office and realize that I forgot to grab a book that day!

I can relate to the doctor's office and book - that makes for a bad day (in my case).

I think I use books like a security blanket.
I almost always have one with me.
You're right ... those rare occassions when I don't have one on me is usually the time I need one.

You're gross and grungy but need to run a very quick errand to the store.
Wouldn't you know that's when you meet someone you'd not seen in years?

Or you always turn your cellphone ringer off even though you rarely get calls, and the one time you don't turn it off and are in a very quiet place, it rings . . . .

I was in a Catholic church in the southern part of Alabama looking at the paintings. My cell phone rings, it was my preacher wanting to know if we were having a good time. It was our ladies retreat and we were just goofing off that day. I got glared at by many people. Really, I thought my phone was off.

Haven't been grungy but decided I wasn't going to wear makeup to Wal-Mart and ran into a lot of people I knew =(

Speaking of which.... I know a lady who will put her makeup on to mow the yard.

      Nutmeag ...
I've done that cellphone thing before. Embarassing ...

      Karen ...
In college, I'd run into guys that I had crushes on that way before. On the other hand, they weren't interested no matter what I looked like.
I know people who's like that lady you just described too. There needs to be a limit to looking good somewhere.

You can make it a word. ;-) I do that all the time. I think the *actual* phrase is "autumnal," but I like "autumn-y" better. Then again, I've watched Buffy way too much, where adding -y to any word was the way to go for the writers.

I didn't have any of my book lists with me for once.
One book I picked up this week is book 3 out of a series. I've only read the first one and am now half-way through this one.
Another book I picked up this week is by an author that is new to me. I just found out it's book 13. Okaaaaayyyyy ...
    Hmmmpppfff!

I have irregular periods so I always carry tampons on me. But the day I switch purses and decide not to carry tampons is usually when my period starts.

Or the book that Santa brought my little guy last year was one he already had. And he wanted to know if Santa sees everything he does, then why didn't Santa see him read that book and bring him a different one instead. Had to do some quick creative thinking on that one.
