JC Hutchins' 7th Son to be available 2009 from St. Martin's Press

From the press release on his site http://www.jchutchins.net :

    [quote]

"J.C. Hutchins, author of the successful "7th Son" podcast novel trilogy, has accepted a book deal to publish "7th Son: Descent," the series' debut novel. The thriller is scheduled for a 2009 U.S. spring/summer release by St. Martin's Press."

    ------

"Hutchins is widely-known as one of the vanguard authors in a growing genre of free online audiobooks -- also called "podcast novels " or "podiobooks." These novels are often read and recorded by the author, and are promoted online in podcasts and web blogs. "Podnovelists" like Hutchins leverage these new technologies -- and the ubiquity of iPods and other portable devices -- to find audiences for their work."

    [end of quote]

Awesome that Podiobooks was in the forefront of helping present another high quality author to the world. Podiobooks may merely be the channel of distribution, but what a highly-respected channel it's becoming.

This is fantastic news! I've been enjoying the audio version (on the second book right now) and began looking for the print version only to find out it didn't exist. While listening to a podcast interview with J.C., I found out he was still working on getting a print publisher. What took them so long? Well... at least now we will have it in real live paper, and I can't wait.

All the best to you, J.C.!
