If anyone is looking for a book about the recent recession, "In Fed we Trust" by David Wessel is good. Wessel only writes on the feds view of the recession and their reasons for making certain decisions at different times. It also goes in to some detail about the 1908 panic and the great depression which is very similar to the recent panic.
