Activity?
Started by Alf M, Thursday, January 17 2008. Last post Wednesday, July 30 2008.

Is this group active? I'm interested in reading a book and discussing it online. Currently I'm reading Vernor Vinge's "A Deepness in the Sky", but I am interested in finding good, new science fiction.

Same here. I joined before looking at the group shelf, and there's not a lot of what I'd consider "hard SF" to be found there. BTW, hope you enjoyed "A Deepness in the Sky"; I liked the change in character/alien perspective on that one.

deepest apologies if i haven't kept the group active with updates. its been a hectic last 6 months with little or no time for any reading at all, let alone big fat sci-fi.

its true that the group shelf does not contain much of what is considered hard sci-fi :D Need to work on that sometime!

i have not read the deepness in the sky. vinge however brings some fascinating concepts in the Across Realtime series - the bobbles of time.
