Tsk! Tsk! I thought we're going to discuss it starting on July 1st!
:D Yes, I JUST bought it and read it. I'm not going to say much about it yet except to say that I enjoyed it.

Of course you're right. I was thinking BC and Shelfari being separate. We don't mean for them to be. I'm still waiting on the book anyway. :) Thanks for the reminder!!!

Just ribbin' you. We can start whenever anyone wishes. A lot of people are like you and waiting for it to come in.

Ahhh...not until July 1st?!
Although I do like the typo in the subject: "Fearkless Fourteen"!
I notice that to. I can't seem to correct it. Dang. :)

I mentioned the problem on the administrator's group. It's great that there's a way to edit the replies to discussions. Unfortunately, we still can't edit the discussion starting blurb yet.

It looks like everyone is wanting to wait until July to discuss this one, but I just wanted to say I picked it up at the library today and finished reading it tonight. I really enjoyed it and I hope we get to see more of Carl in future books!

Have you received your copy yet Mia? The Yahoo group members seem to be champing at the bit to get started with this discussion. I was wondering whether we should go ahead and start it despite the July 1st date.
The decision is that we can go ahead and discuss this book early. People who haven't read it can ignore this discussion on the Shelfari group. It's a little more difficult to ignore on Yahoo. People on the Yahoo group need to remember to put a SPOILER notice on.

I've noticed that no one in the group is using the spoiler line. I've just been glancing past those. My copy came today but I think I'm going to read Naughty Neighbor first. It won't take long.

I noticed that too. I said something on one of my posts today. I was feeling to miserable with vertigo yesterday to really make it to the groups much.

I bought a copy at Wal Mart this week, and read it in two days. Would have read it in one, but somehow people seem to expect me to stop reading and work on my job! I thought it was classic Plum, but I keep waiting for her to decide which man she wants! Who would want Morelli if they could have Ranger?!
Oh, I definetly agree!!! Ranger all the way! :) And I have to say, I was disappointed in what a small role Ranger played in this particular book.
I agree! Definitely not enough Ranger! I did love the side story with Lula and Tank though!

I'm happy with either (or even better, both [g]) guys. I'm in for the laughs ... which, strangely enough, there weren't as many of as usual. It was still a fun read though ...

What did everyone think about the level of humor in this book?

I thought it was less slapstick than usual once we got past the whole Brenda and Carl part. It was still funny, but I found myself having fewer LOL moments than I've grown accustomed to when reading this series.
That seems to be the main comment about this book: less LOL moments. I didn't laugh out loud at anything actually but I did chuckle at some things. The funnier moments didn't start until about half way through the book. On the other hand, the book seems a bit better written and/or edited than some earlier books. That's nice. The relationships between all the characters seem to be more comfortable too. It's as if they've all found their places. JE diid try to throw that off a little by throwing in the kid but it wasn't all that stressful.
