Hello All,
We celebrated Literati - The Book Club's birthday with a cake, gifts, decorations and great cheer last Sunday!
The session was on Murder at the Vicarage - Agatha Christie. This was moderated by Shireesh, Nidhi and Shobha, like no other session has been moderated before! It was an amazing discussion, game, party and celebration!
The way the session was carried out was:
--- Everyone was assigned a character and had to be dressed according the to character's description, as gathered from the text. We had to be prepared to not only defend ourselves (in case we were accused of murder) but also choose a line from the text that best represented us, so that the others could figure out which character we were playing.
---Then after all the characters were discovered, we embarked on solving the crime. The first step was a quiz that we were supposed to jointly answer. For every 2 correct answers to 2 questions, we were given a clue that was critical to the solving of the crime
---The second step was - we were all given a card - according to the characters we were playing which had a probability score for our character to be the murderer and also a hint pointing towards the actual murderer. Based on these hints, we were to accuse each other for committing the crime and defend ourselves accordingly.
---We were, as a group able to crack the mystery and also received a good many sweets and chocolates as prizes for our efforts!
People who were present will be able to vouch for the fun we all had! Hope to see more of you taking an active role in the coming sessions!
